The Revival of Ugluk Clan - Aegis and Asulon

Spoiler

For centuries, the descendants of Ugluk bore no name. They simply acted out as especially ferocious warriors of the Gorkil clan without questioning whether or not they were true sons of Gorkil. Ugluk was the third son of Gorkil, so those Gorkils who had known that these Orcs descended from Ugluk rather than Gorkil directly did not bat an eye, enjoying their prowess in combat during the Clan Wars and utilizing the Ugluk descendants as the Vanguard. By the time the Clan Wars came to a close, thousands of Ugluks were slaughtered at the hands of the dark shamans of clan Dom with very few remaining to carry on the Ugluk bloodline.

As Rex Tythus’Rax, the first and final Rax to ever be Rex and possibly the final Rax ever to live, fell to the mighty legions of the Wargoth Mogroka’Gorkil the Ugluks continued to show their strength on the battlefield. Pok’Gorkil, an especially ferocious Nob of the Krughai often lead the charge during battle, fighting valiantly alongside the likes of legends such as Craotor’lur, Thore’Gorkil, and Blawharag’Shadowklan’Gorkil. Pok also distinguished himself through his ability to lead, often doing so from the front of the horde. As a reward for his bravery and honorable service, Mogroka’Gorkil finally acknowledged the bloodline of Ugluk and inform Pok that he was in fact a direct descendent of the third son of Gorkil. With this in mind, Mogroka allowed Pok to reform the Ugluk Clan. In Aegis, the Ugluks grew mostly through actively seeking out those who did not previously know of their heritage similar to Pok. By the time of the flight from Aegis and arrival to Asulon, the Ugluks had created a strong pocket of the Uzg for themselves and became the largest clan in the First War Uzg.

In Asulon, the Ugluk’s ranks continued to swell. A young Orc named Mokrag brought several dozen Orcs into the fold of Ugluk through his leadership, and immediately the Wargoth Pok and Mokrag became blood brothers. Together, they constructed the most incredible Orcish fort to have ever been constructed, the Ugluk fort. Resting in the swamps just west of the grand city of Strigzgoi, the Ugluk Fort stood menacingly over the West, securing the far borders of the Uzg.

As the Ugluks grew in strength, so did their influence within Uzg itself. Pok ascended to the rank of Wargoth, then saw himself gain the rank of Targoth, leader of the Krughai and second only to the Rex, Mogroka’Gorkil. Pok viewed Mogroka as his mentor and a sort of father figure, and with this in mind Pok tried to be a sort of mirror image of his mentor. In this way, Pok quickly found himself assigned to missions outside of the Uzg which no other Orcs would be assigned. Through Pok’s actions abroad, the Ugluk Clan quickly became one of the most feared and respected Clans by non-Orcs outside of the Uzg. The Ugluk clan, along with the Lurs, famously sacked Salvus not long after the first arrival to Asulon. Not long after this infamous battle, the Rex Mogroka realized that his time had come and that he would no longer serve as the Rex of the Orcs. After winning a series of battles against the Azog, Gorkil, and Lur Wargoths, Pok’Ugluk became the third Rex of the War Uzg and was Mogroka’s first successor. This cemented the Ugluk Clan as a powerful force of Orcish power within the Uzg and set the stage for Ugluk Strength for several more decades, seeing several other Ugluk ascend to the rank of Rex.

The Rise of Braduk, On the Brink - Post Asulonian Exodus

Spoiler

For several decades, Pok reigned as the Wargoth of the Ugluk clan. His elders were incredibly wise and remained loyal to their Wargoth whom they largely adored, despite trying to challenge him for the title several times. However, Pok especially respected the Elder Mokrag’Braduk’Ugluk, an Orc of great size and stature. Mokrag had bred an especially powerful section of the clan and they lived in coexistence with the other Ugluks. However, one evening Mokrag approached Pok with the idea of allowing the Braduks to become their own clan. Now, Pok’s mentor was Mogroka’Gorkil and Mogroka had allowed the Ugluks to exist after being conceived under the protection of the Gorkil Clan. With this in mind, Pok hoped to mirror Mogroka and the relationship that the Ugluks and Gorkils had by releasing the Braduks and allowing them to form their own clan.

The Braduks still lived with the Ugluks during Asulon, often living and even breeding with one another. The two clans fostered a great amount of respect between one another and during battle the two clans often fought side by side with great intensity. However, something began to change after the flight from Asulon and the arrival in Elysium, an island not far from Asulon. It was in Elysium that the Ugluks and several other clans took issue with the policies of the weakling Rex Sharku’Gorkil. This eventually boiled over into civil war in which the Ugluks, Lurs, and Braduks battled the Gorkils and Azogs. With no decisive victory, a pact was made but somehow the Braduks were left out of the peace process. In this mixup, Pok and Mokrag’s relationship became strained as Mokrag viewed this peace as a sort of betrayal by the Ugluk clan. This lead to a sort of Cold War between the two clans for a very, very long time with skirmishes occuring every so often, though the Ugluks typically stood victorious during the early days of this conflict.

Then something changed. Pok’Ugluk vanished and the Ugluk clan entered an era of decay. Malog’Ugluk shattered what was left of the Ugluks when he created the Yar clan, leaving a time during which no living Ugluks existed. Until Pok returned, briefly. During this time, Pok and Keesha Ugluk mated and had several children whose cubs kept the bloodline of the clan going. However, many of these children quickly died as a result of slaughter by the Braduk clan. Only Ugkop’Ugluk remained, the last of known survivor of the Ugluk clan. And his days were numbered. Not long after the birth of his son Drokon’Ugluk, Ugkop found himself surrounded by Kahn Braduk and his clanmates. After a long fight, Ugkop was dead and the Braduks declared the Ugluks a dead clan. At least until Ubba’Ugluk returned with Mogroka’Gorkil in the realm of Vailor. Ubba helped return the clan from the brink of collapse and returned the clan to prominence by defeating Kahn’Braduk for the title of Rex.

The Ugluk Bulls are massive, expertly bred Bulls. They have been extinct since Anthos though after the Braduks slaughtered them during an infamous battle in San’Orca during which several rhinos and what remained of the Ugluk bulls were killed. The surviving Ugluks have begun to breed newer bulls, though their size does not yet match those of the bulls used during Pok’s time.

I'd love to have al the salad join. However, I would like to ask if you have a Pittsburgh style salad as well, otherwise, I cannot allow you to join.

I'm actually creating my character right now, and I am creating his lore. Is it okay if I I say my character is a slave or member of this clan? Or can I only join once I have entered the world after creating my character with another type of story line?

Some people include their character in a clan in their application, but you'd want the clan leader's permission. Currently, the Ugluk leader is away. I'm not sure when he'll be back. I can try to contact him on skype for you, but it's uncertain as to whether he'll be checking his skype right now.
