Definitions

What is powergaming?: A maximising progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie.

In-Character Information

Character’s name: Talon

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s race: Human Highlander

Character’s age: 26

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Talon was born in 1513 to a couple in Riveryn. He had an older sister named Katrina. His parents worked on a farm nearby to support themselves and when they weren't doing that they would do odd jobs for people to pull together more money. When the Duke's War broke out when Talon was only 3, his parents decided to not take part in any of the combat and worked hard to keep their family safe. At one point, they had even had a secret tunnel dug so that they could escape and get to a boat hidden in bushed along the river. His family struggled, but when the war ended, Talon and his family were safe. However, when the war was winding down, someone broke into their house with a sword whilst Talon's mother was in labor. Talon's father drew his sword and fought with the thief. The whole time, Katrina cried and clinged onto her mother while a neighbor helped deliver the baby. Just when it seemed that the thief was getting the upper hand, Talon walked out into the fight with his "pet" which he called Toby. In reality, Toby was a brick. Talon's father took Toby out of Talon's hands and chucked it at the thief.  It managed to knock him out cold, after which Talon's father hauled him outside and slit his throat.

With his new little brother, Dan, life returned to normal for Talon and his family after the war. Eventually, he went to work out in the field with his parents. Just when his parents looked to be doing well financially, the Plague started going around and Talon was quickly sent off with Katrina and Dan to go live with his grandparents high in the mountains of Oren. They lived with them for almost a year, helping them take care of their sheep and taking care of their small garden. After a year with no word from the outside world, his mother and father finally showed up to get them and they returned to Riveryn. After that, their family started to acquire enough money to send Dan off to get an education, but Talon could never do that. Talon stayed to work with his parents, but at 23, long after Katrina and Dan left home, Talon's parents finally faced him. While they appreciated his help, they told him that he was still young and he needed to head off and find himself in this world. After that, Talon left home with nothing more than the clothes on his back, a bit of food in his knapsack, and Toby. Up until this point, Talon has wandered the lands, meeting new people and finding beauty in everything he came across, handing out his sketches of the world to children near and far, enjoying life and letting himself wander.

Personality Traits: Strong, Caring, Artistic.

Ambitions: Wants to explore the land and make a farm of his own one day.

Strengths/Talents: Good with fieldwork, good with animals.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Oblivious at times, he can’t use a bow
