How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?

Two of my good friends are avid players of the server, and I decided I wanted to join them.

Definitions

Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

What is roleplaying?: Acting as if you are the character that you are playing as. This can be done in a fiction setting, or not. It also can be dont solo or with multiple people.

What is metagaming?:  Metagaming is something like knowing a character's name when they have not told you. It is basically using information you have not learned IC. If I see someones name I cannot walk up to them and say "Hello (name)." this is because I have not learned his name IC

What is powergaming?: Roleplaying in a way that does not allow the other player to properly add their contribution to the RP. This is usually used in Combat RP. This is an example: <Human> cuts <Elfs> head off. When it should be something like: <Human> lunges forwards and swings for <Elf> aiming towards his neck. or etc etc.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Character’s name: James Adarien

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 23

Biography: James was born to a single mother, and while maybe she wasn't always around much, he still loved her best he could. His mother, Lyra, was employed at the King's Palace of felson, as a servant. Before long, he too was working there, cleaning plates, or carrying trash, or whatever was required. For all this time, however, James was inspired. You see, the first week of his new job, he saw a knight. This man wasn't like the other foot soldiers, no he had strength and stride. Others respected him, obeyed him, feared him.
Since that day James had wanted nothing more then to become a knight. But how is a poor servant to complete such a task? Well, he began saving. And saving any saving for many years, until one day, one fateful day, he took his funds and left the palace. He bought a set of plated armor, a longsword, and a simple wooden shield, and was on his way. Perhaps he had no training, nor skill, but that would nay stop him. A hedge knight I shall be, he thought, a hedge knight I shall be.

Personality Traits: Brave, Honor-seeking to a fault, always looking for a way to prove his worth, that he's worth more than a peasant.

Ambitions: To become the best swordsman in the world, and to use such skills to slay a Drake, or other monsturious beasts in a Hunt.

Strengths/Talents: Very strong ambition and will. He doesn't really have strengths in any certain fields, he is just an average Human Being.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: James is a timid man that doesn't really speak out of turn. This is mainly because of his servant background of keeping his mouth closed and just working. Even though he purchased a sword he is not fully trained in combat.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): James' 5'9", Black hair, narrow face and blue eyes, his build i's an average one but it leans more towards slender.
