What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the playing of a role, basically acting as your character, portraying their beliefs, actions and day to day life in line with the theme of the setting and character history.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the use of knowledge in a meta sense, knowing something from out of your character’s ability to know, such as another character’s name or allegiance.

What is powergaming?: Attempting to bend or outright break the rules to gain advantages or “Win” an encounter at the expense of roleplaying.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Born during the end of the Atheran era, Kurt lived on the road with his family, migrant workers seeking a place to settle down. By 1510 they had become refugees, sensing the increasing turmoil of the nations and the soon to become war between the Iron Uzg and Grand Kingdom they travelled and took to settling in the Nation of Calvus. Later of course, they would have to move with all other survivors to Vailor.

 

Kurt’s father and mother took to travelling once more when they reached Vailor, seeking work in building and the fields, this was where his father taught him of the Old Faith, though he knew little of his extended history he soon found himself identifying with it more and more. His mother passed during the plague of 1526, leaving Kurt and his father alone for the rest of their travels. When Kurt reached maturity at age 20 his father settled down in Calvus, whilst Kurt continued out, seeking work once more. Before he left his father handed him a whalebone charm of a heart as a good luck charm.

 

Personality Traits: Caring, uneducated, good manual labourer, surprisingly strong for a human, tends to lack knowledge of the land except in broad-strokes. He tends to be suspicious of Orcs, due to their war rupturing his peaceful life and confused by Elves, otherwise displaying a good work ethic and solid appetite otherwise.

Ambitions: Marry, work, settle down, have children.

Strengths/Talents: Strong, resilient, Jack-of-all trades style labourer, can cook and take care of himself. Resilient to the cold, quick thinker and fighter.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Master of none, lacks formal education, can’t count to 20, little social skills in formal situation.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): 6”1, 200 pounds, brown hair, beard, callused hands from dockwork, broken nose, barrel chested (Not sculpted muscles, more the figure of a conventionally fit person).
