GloriaPreussens 798 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Impera Brigade http://imgur.com/B2a5TRi “The Emperor’s will, at any cost.” Formed in the year of 1541 in the midst of a war with the Urguanites, the bastard John of Peremont, often called the Lesser, was instructed by his father, Emperor John I, to form a diligent, loyal, and effective retinue for himself, and emperors to come. The Impera Brigade is the personal bodyguard retinue of His Imperial Majesty, with the sole purpose of carrying out the Emperor’s orders and tasks, no matter their repercussions or detail.While the Brigade is subject to the Emperor's orders solely, they themselves are not given free reign to do as they please. The Imperial Family and ranking officials may issue obvious logical requests to ensure the safety of the Emperor and his residence. Such individuals who have rank are those who obtain the authority from the Emperor himself. Being separate from a formal army or levy, the brigade acts as an Imperial paramilitary. The Impera is stationed in Felsen and maintain their own smithy as well as their own miners and laborers in order to provide a constant stream of supplies and equipment. Due to skill of third parties, however, supplies are sometimes bought from reputable and reliable sources. Structure Command Commander The most trusted and senior of the Brigade, as well as the one whom has shown unflinching loyalty and effectivity in the eyes of the Emperor. He submits only to His Imperial Majesty, and carries out the Emperor’s will through the ranks, and doles out tasks, assignments, and orders. Lieutenant A lieutenant is a junior officer, but not one who has become so trusted as to act as the Emperor’s chief protector. He will often lead trainings or patrols with a senior brigadier acting as his aide or to enforce order. Enlisted Brigadier The ranks and file of the Emperor’s praetorian, they are skilled troopers with access to fine equipment and training. They have been oathed since their first combat as a member of the Brigade, becoming full fledged members of the Impera Brigade ever since. Recruit Those who are training, or have not yet been oathed, they are often given lesser duties such as outer palace patrol or the escort of a foreign dignitary. While many are competent, they simply have not been oathed and are awaiting the opportunity to do so. Specialized Ranks Quartermaster A common specialization in many armies and orders, the Quartermaster has a vital yet simple job; distribute, track, and store the Brigade’s supplies. He is the only person save the Commander himself to have full and complete access to the storage of the Brigade. Oath Taken after a recruit’s first successful combat, he is required to kneel usually before the Emperor and the Commander, and recite the following Oath; I, _____ do swear from this day forth to serve the Emperor loyally, to obey my superiors, and never flinch or question in my duty. I swear to put my life before the Emperor’s, and risk anything and everything to ensure his safety, be it my life, my children’s or any others. In the eyes of GOD do I swear.
