An ancient and dusty tome sits in a stand in the holy temple of Karakatua. It would appear to be a tome from ancient Va'Khajria. If one would read through it they would notice that this is a long forgotten tome.

The Ceremony of Nightsong

The following excerpt is from the Va’Khajrian book of ‘Hymns to Metztli’ of which are sung during the Nightsong Ceremony - upon the birth and death of a Kharajyr;

Vnus dra tynghacc,

"FUnoo-see de-raah teaen-ge-haah-ku-ku"

Drana yna cuimc ihpmyhgadat.

"DE-raahnah aenah kuooeem-ku ee-ha-pemae-ha-geah-deah-te"

"LU-raoonee-ku ae-ha-te KUoh-see-bae-raoo-haoh. AE-see-baemeay-fueayahn ae-ha-te raah fe-raoo ee-haeay-fueayah-ku."

Fa lynno dras huf, du yht vnus Metztli

"FEah luaennoh de-raah-see haoo-fe, deoo ae-ha-te funoo-see Meay-tez-te-luee"

Fedr pmuut yht fedr suna

"FEeay-de-ra pemoooo-te ae-ha-te feeay-de-ra seeoonah"

Fa dyga dras.

"FEah deae-geah de-raah-see."

From the darkness,

There are souls unblanketed.

We take them now, to and from Metztli.

Chorus and Symphony. Amplifier and he who unifies.

We take them now, to and from Metztli.

With blood and with more,

We take them.

The excerpt is exact, and is sung by the High Sage or Varkolu upon the birth and death of a Kharajyr. It is thought that all who hear  it, hears it differently every time - and each hear it in other ways. Speaking to the soul or the hearts of all Kharajyr, for the words are that of the old Empire, and the real way.

The death and birthing ceremonies of the Kharajyr are not to be interrupted by anything, or anybody. It is the only time in that the Goddess is truly with us, for she is required to acknowledge the death and birth of every Kharajyr. The High Sage is known to have a connection to the goddess, and so it is assumed that she speaks in honor of Metztli herself, rather than directly to her.
