Formation

The Companions were formed from the shattered remnants of the Nortruppen. Only the toughest and most loyal of the Ruric bannermen were able to survive the sacking of Avar. Gathering under the tattered red and black banners of the Rurics they offered their blades once more to the family. They would serve once more as brothers in arms, companions on the field of battle. The vast fertile plains of their new homeland led to the widespread usage of horses in their ranks. Eventually developing into a cavalry focused force emphasizing high mobility and shock assaults.

Recruitment

For someone to join the Companions they must first gain the trust and confidence of an existing member. This member will sponsor the potential recruit to undergo initiation trials, should they succeed they will become an initiate and begin their path to full membership.
