Gwyn Warlai ran, sobbing, through the streets of Felsen, her gown in tatters and her body covered in bruises. Her tears blinded her vision, but she knew where she was going. "Saint Daniel," she whispered to herself, "Saint Daniel." Dirt stained her skirt hem, her hair was wildly tangled as she flew up to the church steps, took one last look at the city, and ran inside.

Up and up she climbed, circling the rope which the churchmen would use to ring the great bell, announcing a new day or a joyous occasion. When she reached the top, she stopped to catch her breathe. Soiled. she thought, I am soiled. She strode across the room and flung open the great wooden shutters that enclosed the bell. This is for good. I am no lady now, nor was I ever. She thought of her friends, especially Mylas and Renee de Aryn. Will they miss me? Most likely not. She stepped up onto the sill and looked down. It will last only a moment.

As Gwyn flung herself from the bell tower, her foot hit the rim of the bell, letting out a great bellow. They will know now, this bell rings also..for my death.

RIP

"Lady" Gwyn Warlai

1529 - 1550

(OOC): I hope you all enjoyed her, for the time she was around. I intend to play as her brother now, so look out for Phineas II Warlai in Felsen. For those who want more of a reason, I  am just not good at playing female characters as nobles, being a male myself. I have tried it in other games, to be gender neutral, but it hasn't ever worked for me other than making female thieves and maids! Being that this happened, I thought it a good time to change characters. See you all on the server, I will look a bit different now ^__^

John Sigismund pities the mangled corpse of Gwyn Warlai. In an uncommon act of mercy, he has the body cast to sea, a tradition often only reserved for noblewomen.

"I feel bad for whoever cleans this stuff." Valentine looked to Constantine momentarily, offering forth a light shrug. "I should bring a slide whistle with me if this happens again."

Eleanor Elizabeth frowns - her first handmaiden of her very own lasted less than a Saint's day! Nevertheless, she would begin searching for a new pair of ears within the walls.

Upon hearing news of Gwyn's death, Renee sat quietly in her room in Verdain and laughed hysterically, unable to sort out the proper reaction to her emotions. Her face streamed with tears, even when she finally calmed down enough to lie in bed. In the end, she thought, it hadn't been her ambition that brought to her end, like I thought it would... why did she throw herself from that belltower? She asked herself over, and over, and over again until she drifted into a state of restless slumber.

In her dreams, she saw the friendly face of the one who had been the closest thing she had to a friend.
