What is roleplaying?: Creating your own stories and interacting with others while assuming the role of a made up character. There are many different ways to roleplay, but through the internet it is usually people taking turns typing with as much detail as they prefer and differentiating their character's actions from their character’s speech.

 

What is metagaming?: It is when the player figures out something out of character, and suddenly acts as though their character knows what is about to happen. This is going over the general rules of roleplay, and should not be done.

 

What is powergaming?: Doing something in the roleplay that would not be able to happen in reality. Such as your character catching an axes blade with their hand or being immune to every disease they come in contact with. This is another thing that should not be done when rping.

Biography: “I once lived a rather normal life with my parents in the city of Vivec, where my parents owned a small grey shop on a quiet road that sold general goods. I would often sit out on the steps and greet others as they strolled by. It was enjoyable to see all of the unique faces and learn about different backgrounds, just by sitting on those steps in front of my parents’ shop. A fond memory of mine from back then was going for nightly swims in a nearby lake, in which I would listen to the crickets chirping softly around me, while feeling a welcoming cool breeze touch my cheeks. The city was a peaceful place until the dreaded day the volcano erupted, spewing liquid fire upon the ancestors blessed soil or Ker’nor. Many of us fled the island though not many of us made it out, including my parents. I had sat on a boat which bobbed and weaved along the waters of Vailor as we made our way to the island of the wood elves, though my eyes could not leave that dreaded sight. Soon I had settles with the other ker but it seems wanderlust has taken the best of me. Now I seek out something to fill this wanderlust, exploring the realm of Vailor.”

Personality Traits: She is an intelligent, gentle and kind elf who is fascinated with the culture of other races and is always more than willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Besides her generous heart, Vaynth is known to be brutally honest. If someone is being out of line, she’s not afraid to tell them what she thinks of the situation, although she thinks more with reason than emotion and rarely loses her cool unless someone is purposely trying to hurt her or someone she loves.

Ambitions: To travel until she finds a place she can call home, outside of the ruins of Vivec.

Strengths/Talents: A strong heart and the ability to name and recite facts about many different stones and gems.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Often avoids bringing up the most upsetting moments of her past, and instead pretends they didn’t happen. She talks about Vivec as though she is going back.

Appearance: While a dark elf, Vaynth has a mixed heritage resulting in a lighter violet complexion, and long, wavy, very light brown hair. She has a pair of intriguing pale green eyes and is shorter than many elves at 5’11, and weighing about 120 pounds. As for her clothing, she enjoys wearing simple dresses that flatter her body, usually burgundy colored or a shade of green to match her eyes. She also has rather large collection of pendants that she usually wears one at a time on a silver chain around her neck. She began collecting them from all over Vailor after the destruction of her city.
