A change in Leadership

I write now to inform the neighboring villages and King of Oren of the new leadership in what is now formerly known as Tris'Fal, and a little back story on myself.

I found times difficult and always on the move, having troubles adjusting to life in Aegis. Work was hard to come by and few were hiring for any work even simple jobs. I tended to keep close to Al'Khazaar having ill relations with other races in past, and continued to try and find work so that i would have the minas to afford myself a homestead to store my valuables whilst adventuring the wilds. One day while in the capitol city I happened upon a man recruiting for guards, being in the capitol and he not stating for whom he was recruiting, i assumed it was for the Al'Khazaar guard, paying very good wages, i offered myself to apply for the position. His name was Lord Adephon, of whom I was unfamiliar, but a job is a job, and the money is good. He then took me outside the city to test my skills, which i passed his tests, not with flying colors as his sword form was foreign to me, seeming more elvish with the agility in which he moved. He accepted me as a guard for Tris'Fal and then led me to his city. Along the way we crossed through Greenshire crossing into their borders he said warily to make sure I sheathe my swords as to avoid any outrage from the halfling villagers, which I found odd having not heard of any more trouble from halflings than that of the drunken ones. We reached Tris'Fal after 2 days of travel crossing through the wilds having no roads to take, it was well hidden, and away from everything, which is something I appreciated, I was never a man for the hustle and bustle of city life. It was a quaint town with only two houses and a small fort with barracks atop it. I met a couple other citizens at that time, the architect Bacil, the ranger Aiden, and another that i did not catch his name, and have not seen since. Adephon gave me a bed and a chest to use as my own in the barracks, and merely asked that I give whatever help I can in the town to help it grow and protect the city well. I found myself helping the architect often during the first couple weeks with simple tasks based on what little experience I have had from the odd jobs through out my life. I was capable of a little mining and was sent to to gather what materials I could, nothing like that of a dwarf and their mining skills, I mostly only found stone and a little coal. I quickly moved through the ranks becoming close friends with Adephon coming up with plans and ideas for the town for him to ponder. Adephon then decided it would be best to move the town and I escorted him in his search for a better place to build, although we found one all the 5 citizens of Tris'Fal were in outrage, and swore abandoning Adephon if he moved it, he attempted to challenge the citizens and upon their victory he would not move it. I spoke to Adephon pleading him not to spill needless blood and to just leave it where it stands, as much work had already been done, and so it stayed.

During Adephon's sebatical ("My lord was grounded") i was given vacation time, and decided it was time to see the world, given a month's time, i ventured toward the Orcan Lands to the south to Krugmar, I didn't venture far into the kingdom before I came across a wandering man enrobed in leather. We spoke of politics and the Orcs, and to my misfortune , or so I believed at the moment, the Rex Warlord Mogruka was passing through and we conversed for hours about history and similar experiences with different races within Aegis, and enjoyed one another's company for 2 days as he explained the Ancient history of Aegis according to the orcs, and his battles for Snowy Fields and Alstion far to the north. As it was nearing time for me to start my journey back home he gave me an offer I knew my Lord and Friend Adephon would most like, Rex Mogruka offered his aide if ever we should need it, a warband to protect our city and our citizens should ever war occur or the Undead attack. And the gift of one of his special pigeons which would know the way back to him from anywhere in the lands. After bringing the pigeon back to Tris'Fal and speaking to Adephon I was then promoted again as a guard to captain, with a lovely pay raise as well.

I found myself falling in love with the city the more I stayed here and the more work I put into it, I began helping the architect more and more as time passed, he showed me how to properly construct whole houses, far better than the little shacks I used to make in the wild for shelter, tents if you will. As we continued to work together Bacil gained much trust for me and found me very easy to get along with, being one to compromise and advise rather than order or berate. After much of the town had been built we began to get more citizens, and travelers, one stayed on as the blacksmith, one a baker, a miner, a farmer, a librarian, and we continue to grow, all admiring the buildings i helped to create. I have become quite fond of this town at this point, helping in the library when I heard someone being attacked, followed by Adephons laughing, I could not believe it my friend attacking a citizen I protect for his own amusement. I ran out and stopped the attack saving Lance's life and that night spoke to Adephon to stop such mindless acts of violence, i was utterly ignored as he started to speak of killing the dwarf in butcher block and taking for his own, then attempting to conquer greenshire. I yelled at him, trying to advise against it, and he lashed out at me and sent me away.

It was most unnerving for all the citizens the following month, but to their benefit an Undead attack on Al'Khazaar helped to distract Adephon from his newly corrupted ways, the power of his rule and the number of citizens seemed to have turn him for the worst. Adephon appointed me Commander & General and ordered me to corral the troops and follow him to the aid of Al'Khazaar, and to the strange skull dungeon spawned by Iblees behind (Rekreation)'s town just west of Al'Khazaar, I need not repeat the story of the full attack as most have heard, but the actions of Adephon are most telling. He became mad with a lust for blood, and rushed ahead into the dungeon nearly getting himself killed, i warned him it was a trick, a trap of iblees, but he cared not, he left me and the others in lust for his own glory. After the attack and all returned to Al'Khazaar, Adephon wanted to look at the King's Architecture for his castle, and we (the others and myself) stayed back in the town square, as the librarian had wanted to check on a few books. Bacil, and Myself began to talk about Adephons actions of late, and a plan was formed over the next month to oust Adephon from power, I agreed that Adephon was most unstable to say the least, but merely expected Bacil to fiend for his spot as Lord of Tris'Fal.

After a month passed and all the citizens had taken their own time to speak to either Bacil or myself the time was good to act our coup de tat. I as friend to Adephon requested a town meeting and gathered all the citizens, of which knew the real reason for our meeting, and confronted Adephon, telling him of all that has been decided and all the reasons for it, from the beatings, killings, pillaging, stealing and greed, an intervention we had. I told him it was time to step down, and the city wanted me to be the new Leader of the town, from my compassion, my desire to put the people of the city first and my proof to them as the Commander & General. Adephon would not hear he wanted to fight, but I did not want his blood on my hands and offered a truce of sorts, in exhange for his exile.

I was then made the Baron of the city, but the work for the day was not done, as we spoke as a town, we decided it would be best to shear ourselves from the taint cast by Adephon and changed the name of the city to Lunavara, a symbol they said for me, which the librarian explained was an old language(latin) for Moon's Truth, as i was their light in the dark, and never strayed from them nor lied to them, no matter how blunt i may be, reliable i and honest I am.

So as the Baron of Lunavara I request meeting with Greenshire to absolve all past conflict and mend our standings, I would also request meeting with the King of Oren, to perhaps set an officiality for our town, so I can help better ensure the safety of my citizens. I understand that his Lordship the King is quite busy of late with the wedding afoot, of which I wish my congratulations for thee, I am a patient man and will wait for his time to be afforded me.

Baron of Lunavara,

I see. so this is what happened after I left Tris'fal. Good to see you, I'm Jack, the Oren Diplomat. I used to be a guard in Tris'fal in its early days, and have one or two connections there. I shall pay a visit to Tris'fal to discuss recent events. I hope to see you soon.

Jack
