Minecraft 1.8 Information

The development team would finish each major city before the release of the new realm. Keep this in mind, when we released Aegis, we were expecting 60 players. With 250 players online and growing, the cities need to be spaced out further and designed more cohesively.

We've written out handfuls of documents about this new realm, and it's positive attributes. This'll be revealed to everyone nearer to the end of the Adventure update. (1.9)

Native? Will cities get ported? And if the cities do get ported, would the permissions be messed up? And will protected towns get ported? Tarannon and Zerragon have been putting so much work into theit new town for weeks now and it would be horrible if it was wiped before it was even finished.

I am in favor of transferring to a 1.8 map. And hopefully spreading cities out a lot farther.

However, I would really hope that you would transfer the new Holmes base, (which is right next to whisper Isles anyway, so maybe you could just transfer it over with whisper isles) because we've just spent a lot of time building it. Its not even technically finished yet, the inside has yet to be done.

If you can do that then I'm in favor 100%. It would be a pain to lose items, but I'm totally fine as long as we've got a base.

Oh no. The way you two mods said that makes me think you are hiding something, probably the wipe we are all talking about. I was thinking about buying a massive plot in Alkhazar, now I'm not so sure because it might be wiped in a few weeks.

I suppose. I'll buy it anyway then but 1.8 is monday and I think 1.9 is just around the corner considering minecraft is almost officially released so if we are going to wipe. It'll happen in the next couple of months.

Do you have any idea how much GM work that would take? :blink:

I understand it'd take time and effort, but people who have gained minas to purchase plots of land or donated to gain land are now seeing work that they also spent excessive amounts of time building destroyed for nothing. At the very least they need to log EVERYBODY's land so that they can be guaranteed a plot of the same size if there was a map reset. Not to mention getting people their things.
