If we were to loose iventory we should somehow be compensated, seeing as I used the 20k minas from my 100$ donation to buy ITEMS. If I were to loose items like those I'd feel ripped off.

I'd say that the Multi-world option is the best one, or else we'll have alot of angry VIPs.

I just thought of something actually from a bad idea someone made earlier, it could actually be good...they basically said Iblees would role in as a player and wreck everything...but what if, with a multi-world plugin, we did all end up having a mass exodus to a new continent as the undead have found some way to temporarily empower themselves tenfold, and even mortals who are allied with them would have to make a run for it...basically, it would become the undead continent, there would still be pockets of surviving people of course, but the majority would flee to this new continent that the Wandering Wizard found. Like I said, there empowerment would only be temporary. But this would let us keep old Aegis, add some amazing rp events, and get a new world with 1.8...we should have this event be very long and drawn out of course, probably around 2 weeks to a month. But basically, war would be declared everywhere and the undead would be going all out. This would be interesting and be a solution to all these problems...anyone else agree?

+1 on that one, good thinking.

Cause people like me have worked months on their character and I would hate to lose him

Indeed. Those who played months on a character can't lose it all. But I would say that those who want to should be able to get a "free" register and lose everything and simply start over...

I would say yes to a map reset, If we keep our Minas, Items, Stats.

YES, TRANSFER CHEST, ALL VIPS GET ONE LARGE CHEST TO GET TRANSFERRED

I have about 5 full large chests of cobblestone and several other chests with vaulables that I'd like to keep, so only one large chest for us donators is kind of lame!

Realistically though depending on the situation if I think from an RP perspective 1 large chest is plenty. As I have read there are two scenarios.

1) The Aegis we live in is damaged and scarred by the event many towns wiped out houses and everything.

2) The people of Aegis escape the continent via boats or whatever method has been touted.

In scenario "1" unless you live in a city which survived the event all your items chests etc will be destroyed. This would mean anyone who has not got a home in a protected city would be at a disadvantage.

In scenario "2" It gives everyone a fair chance in a new world because you could only bring a limited amount of possessions. If you had to quickly evacuate anywhere you don't bring everything, you only bring what items you cherish or what you will need in the future.

I think in terms of the the rp event the exodus from Aegis would be a really fun event, people trying to sell what they cant carry for ridiculously low prices, cities emptying, the sound of lightning behind you, arriving at a dock or a bay which has been created for the event with many ships, for each race. To keep the rp feel these ships could be recreated in the new cities docks for the races if the city is on the coast or up a river. ships can also be created to look like they run aground near a cliff or that they were abandoned on a beach.

On an other server I played on was the following:

When there was a world reset, They made a HUGE blackbox in the air, And the GM's where in that box for 3 days, Everybody who walked to the box in that 3 days get their own protected chest, The blackbox will be added to the new world, And you have 1 week to take your items out of the chest before the big black box will be deleted from the new world!

Maybe a good idea?

I find both are very good scenarios. Personally i would prefer the first idea because i haves spent quite a bit of time lately collecting and actually getting on my feet. I is warned that those that lived outside of protection were at risk so its not like they were not warned.

on an RP note the second scenario would be a rather exciting prospect. A problem I see though is how would we set up the new kingdoms? its not like they would be just set up already waiting and a lot of Lore would be kind of redundant. And the destruction of Aegis would be a great waste of the beautiful cities that exist there like the halls of Kal'Urguan (which i personally mined several thousand blocks out of the new district) and Serpents Ridge.

whatever the outcome it would be nice to have some warning

Erm... For one I'm in for the new world, though then we should get all our stuff from the old one with us, for instance by using the multiworld thing. But ehh, I used the MUC thing to get back to 1.7.3 from 1.8 Pre-release and it totally corrupted my mc, disabling me from logging in!

Thanks.

Just delete the version file in your minecraft folder.

I like the exodus idea. It would be cool for the undead to try to stop the exodus and if you people actually working together to escape.

Well there is a small possible solution I have heard of from one of the Devs on another server. They intend to use multi world mod to allow people time to migrate to the new map, get all their items there and everything, before deleting the old map and making the new map the main map.

I agree, I understand about the Roleplay being the main thing on the server, But I would hate to lose all my items I have, as I have already lost a lot due to a confusion (Thanks to native for giving me my most important items back) and so I really like your idea of having too maps, and then we get out invent full, and go to the other world, drop our stuff off, and repeat until we have what we want :D
