Pandan 1452 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Evening all, small rule change from us after a few feedback threads and comments thrown around brought it to our attention. This one; If a player runs from roleplay. the other side may PvP him but must revive him to continue the rp. If they attempt to flee again, the player must be killed. Note that yelling "Halt" is not valid rp to initiate PvP. If they don't stop to respond, you cannot give chase with PvP. Shall be changed to this one. Running from roleplay using MC mechanics is not allowed unless PVP combat has been chosen as a form of combat to be used, and it is done following a proper countdown. If a player runs from roleplay, the other side may PvP him and is under no obligation to revive him. The person running may also face punishment. Note that yelling "Halt" is not valid rp to initiate PvP. If they don't stop to respond, you cannot give chase with PvP. Thanks!

AGP 3169 Share Posted March 25, 2016 If roleplay is the chosen form of combat does that mean we have to emote the chase sequence?

DanDan420 90 Share Posted March 25, 2016 When you say 'May also face punishment' will this be a warning, or a ban?

You do, yes; however, you can also agree to PvP the chase sequence if everyone would prefer that.

This change has not clarified the major issues at all, like what constitutes valid RP. All this has done is make 'valid RP' even more of a powderkeg issue, because we will begin to see players not only downed but also killed for something they may not think is valid RP. Destroyer_Bravo 1054 Share Posted March 25, 2016 What if someone runs at, let's say, the 2 of a countdown? Can they go for a turn@burn then?

" The OP also says that the person running may face further punishment. Discoliquid's response seems to confirm that. I'm sorry but if anyone thinks that emoting a chase sequence is a viable thing to do (read; require people to do!) then I don't know what to say.
