The Acting Hierarch

Orsino Acal'elor would take to a public podium in the Celein City Square, adorned in his casual informal wear. The 'aheral would clear his throat as he'd begin to speak to all those who'd listen to him.

"People of Celein, Mages, Elves or anyone who chooses to make their lives here on our fair island. Laethis Izalith has left us, for how long I cannot tell and where he is going only he knows. He confided to me and asked me to act as the Hierach while he was away and I intend to do that. We need someone now more than ever to lead us considering the events that have transpired over the past few elven days. For a long time we have been besieged by forces that don't follow any set of rules, that will do just about anything to achieve its goals, ambitions and desires.

They tell us to 'Fear the Old Dark' while they conduct activities to try and inflict terror on a populace, they try to intimidate officials or even kill them at times, well I don't fear them, I'm not going to fear them and none of you should fear them. It is time for us to take action, we've been neglecting them, ignoring them and hoping they will go away, well its time we come to a realization, they are not going to go away and we need to take action against them before not only Celein falls, but for them to spread and cause the same chaos elsewhere.

As acting Hierarch I pledge that I will be working with Crumena Izalith, our Maven and leader of the Hileial and we will both route them out of Celein and bring safety, prosperity and peace back to our shores. Secondly I deem that we will complete a Wall around Celein, a Seawall that will stretch across the entire Islands Coastline to make sure that if anyone is trying to get through our borders that we know about it. We will take back our nation from the grip of fear and we will work with others to route those who work in the shadows out and bring them into the light for all to see."

Orsino would exhale sharply after finishing his speech, stepping off the podium and moving on

Vernian would tap a plated foot against the stone floor as he observed the speaker from the front of the crowd.

"The Hileial stands soundly beside you."

He would remark sternly, folding his arms firmly behind his back as he gazed on.

Ralph, the steward and tax collector of Celein would watch with a nod,

"I do not doubt Orsino's abilities."

Herald Dralazar emitted a dull sigh. "How grotesque that once again Xionists are blamed for the terrorists of this disgustingly inept nation. They give me far too much credit."

Orsino sighs, noting how he didn't mention Xion once in his speech, but merely a phrase left at a crime scene, the Hierarch determined to find out who was behind the acts.

Thence, the Herald would be confused seeing as 'Fear the Old Dark' is a phrase of Xionist descent. He reaches the conclusion he's being framed.
