9th of Snow Maiden's1562

"-- We. . . I just barely got out. . ." The young elf would shake his head in disbelief, head lowered in sorrow. "Ten to one, those were our odds. For every one of those, those. . ." The boy would seemingly choke, grasping at words to describe his foe.  "Those monsters. . ." He'd say in defeat. "There would be ten of us, fully armed in plate, sharpened weapons of steel at our sides. . . All they had were furs to cover them, spears of stone, sticks and bones. . ." He'd sigh. "And we lost, the men were slaughtered by the dozens, only a handful  of us made it back through the gate. . ." The boy would start to tear up, "I just left her there, on the outside. . . We shoulda just stayed behind the wall, we shoulda just stayed, we weren't ready--. . ."

The Sun sets on the horizon, a darkness falls over Aethermoore.

The Orcish deserts boom with the sounds of mighty Uruks roaring, weapons clashing, cries of the fallen falling. Night falls followed by a silence. Not a sound is made, not a soul is seen. At dawn, when light shines, dozen of Orcish corpses can be seen loitered around the Uzg.

"One, and, the, same."

The tribal horsemen repeats to himself over and over again in a silent mutter, the sound of at least three dozen hooves trotting over his words.

"Tribals... I hate them just as much as I hate the orcs..."

Spoiler

Disregard above post, won't let me edit. Thanks Tythus

Mok'han looks out at his two fallen brothers who were stupid enough to follow mounted archers out into the desert. He spits onto the sand and curses the magical vanishing and reappearing horses that his tribal opponents used.
