Tsuyose 3285 Share Posted July 7, 2016 -=- Fifth of Snow’s Maiden, 1567 -=- “The bell’s toll through a chilling winter’s eve, shattering the resounding silence cascading the reclusive town of the Ebonglade. The merry folk inhabiting the tranquil state parted from their households, clutching their beloveds or carrying their progeny. However, unbeknownst to them, the bells were heeded by the likes of light wielders, Aheral, Ame, and Ker alike; adversaries set aside their differences as they congregated around the otherwise unoccupied temple. Stood at its mantle was Dak’ir, our Patriarch. With nought but a book clasped together by leather bindings at his side, and upon its spine expressed its contents, a book brimming with enlightenment on the ancestors of the Mali’ker, dating back to ages past. The gates, for one eve, were opened, beckoning men and women alike as they gathered around the temple, taking their respective seats. The innards of the temple were warmed by the flickering flames flaring furiously from the torches, casting the darkness asunder and replacing it with torchlight. The cracked, elderly temple, partially wrapped in frigid ivy with overgrown roots around its perimeter, provided a shelter for the lively and vice-versa. The congregation was a success on the most part, silence filling the room as Dak’ir settled the ancient tome upon the mantle, splitting it from side to side to read its contents aloud-- however, most of his knowledge came from within, the stoic Ker who had endured years of hardship but in turn, had forged a long lasting impression of those departed. Families, from varying nations huddled together, clutching their babes to their chest, and their beloved’s to their sides, listening to the Patriarch's tale of yore. Interruptions went unnoticed as a fabled tavern owner departed briefly to reach eagerly for her husband, drawing him into the brimming confines of the elderly temple; the duo held one another in a forever loving embrace, signifying the unification brought by the pious Dak’ir. Jiub, the Strong; A Ker who founded Div’cruan, standing at a grand stature rivalling uruks. Bound by a mighty sense of honour he developed the base structure of the Onyx culture, and during the unfortunate wars inhabiting the Fringe he led a vanguard of his brethren into the enemy ranks. A strong, mighty warrior, who will always be duly remembered. The tale proceeded as night befell the Ebonglade, the moon elevating high into the onyx skies, befitting a tale of yore; Dak’ir went on, concluding his tale of Jiub the Strong he went on. Arganos, the Festive; A festival produced by the Elves never went amiss without Arganos, duly dubbed this title for his love of celebration. This galant, devote Ker could easily shift the dullest social gathering into, at the very least, a seven day long shindig. This dedicated bard spun tales of his own, versed in a variety of instruments celebration was his savvy. Therefore he is renowned as the Jester of Joy, the Ancestor of Celebration. At the conclusion of the lengthy tale of Arganos, Dak’ir’s tale telling night came to an eventual closure, thanking the bountiful amount of folk that attended the gathering. Even the saddest of folk who attended with a frown, departed with a smile, for none shall forget the tale-telling Ker; Dak’ir, a Ker who could bring unification from even his oldest adversaries. A night who we, the inhabitants of the Ebonglade shall never forget.” Recorded by Ryneth Oussana for the people of the Ebonglade, and to those unable to attend.

Venomoo 109 Share Posted July 7, 2016 "One human, three wood elves, one high elf, and three dark elves that aren't affiliated with the Ebonglades so that leaves them with only ten 'ker. At the Warhawkes we easily have eleven dark elves alone in the keep and we are always doing things other than just sitting around and listening to a singular person lecturing everyone." a 'ker huffs, having sat through the entire boring process.

The 'ker known as Talar would be casually seated in the Warhawke keep, sipping on his London Fog Latte as he would be delving into yet another book, never hearing of Toren's response. OOC P.s: Responses to an IC action made against a post kind of don't make any sense as the characters would probably never hear or see the other character responding to the actual event.

Dak'ir thinks back to the night of story telling and how everyone seemed to enjoy tales of Jiub and Arganos. Two Ancestors who've been shown quite a lot of favour over the years. He hopes that everyone came from the story night a little more knowledgeable and a little more curious about the other Ancestors. He also hopes that one 'Ker he caught trying to open his wife's clothing chest finds the dress he was looking for...
