What is roleplaying?: When a person takes over the mind and body of an imaginary character, and controls all their senses

What is metagaming?: The use of external resources or non roleplay resources to better you character's situation or carry out a certain action

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: When a player does something that their character does not have capabilities to do, which ends up ruining the roleplay experience

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.):

I was born and raised in Felsen. I lead a normal life, helped here and there in my father's butcher shop (Still do). My childhood was filled with happy memories, no worries, no troubles. This all changed when Father left to become a soldier in the Duke's War. The days grew shorter, less playing, more grief. On the day my father returned, a great parade had broke out. Happy chants lit up the street, and my father and his fellow soldiers were praised like gods. My father was given flowers and even a medal of recognition from the Crown. Days went on as the festivities continued, but as the days went by I saw Father less and less. One night, I awoke to the sounds of the Tavern. I peered out the window to see my father drinking. He was dancing with two other ladies, looking like he was having the time of his life. I rolled out of bed and slapped on my morning clothes hoping to sneak into the tavern.

"Wait till father sees me in there, I'll be a real man!"

I ambled into the tavern, being quiet and still. I noticed father was no longer dancing but talking to 2 other men. They walked upstairs. I followed. They went into a room. I took a peek inside. My father wore a scowl across his face. 

"Where is the money?" the two men inquired

"I haven't gotten it!" my father retorted.

"Looks like we are gonna have to claim some compensation"

The two men drew daggers, 

"Please," father begged "I have a son and a wife, I'll get the money later" 

"Too late!" the two men chuckled.

The two daggers lit up the air, causing blood to erupt from my fathers body. Father slowly slid to the floor, not moving. The two men sheathed their daggers and walked toward me.  I was paralyzed by fear. I could not move from that doorway. As the two men swung open the door, I sat against the wall mortified. They walked by me as if I were invisible. I crawled through the doorway and saw my father chugging away at his last bottle of ale. 

"Father!" I cried, "What happened?"

"Hick," he sputtered "I ain't a real knight of war, I ain't no hero. Those men made it look like  I was, they kept me alive through the war." 

"Hick, become a real knight for your old man"

That was the last words I would hear from him

For the rest of my life, I could never admit to my mother what happened. To anyone for that matter. I ended up becoming a real good liar. I could also never get myself to join the militia. I still work in my fathers butcher shop.

I guess my life will end up being real plain.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) My character thinks he sees Iblees, the Daemon every Sunday evening. He likes to collect logs from around the world and create floor patterns with them. He will eat almost anything, but will not drink any alcoholic beverages.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) He wishes to overcome his greatest weakness, and overcome his shy

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He has developed his ability to lie over the years, and as a result his mind has grown and become more clever and decisive. He is also fairly strong from his years in the butcher shop

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is shy and definitely not courageous

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He stands at 6'2 with brown hair. He is slightly tan and has a nice grizzly beard. He dropped a butcher blade on his right leg, so there is a large scar where it landed. The years in the butcher shop allowed him to gain a meaty body build.
