Feedback Request on Sutica Event

Hey all, 

 

this is a post asking for feedback on todays event :

 

 

 

Now, before we begin this was the first step in a series of events/event line that I'm doing for Sutica. So yes, there will be more.

 

I didn't realize how many people would be interested in diving for treasure, and our 30 chests were obviously not enough to sate the thirst for all that showed. We even refilled many of them twice over.

 

This was difficult to set up as a normal player in survival. We used our own items and resources to make this happen.

 

Please don't let your feed back be "IT SUCKED CAUSE I DIDNT GET ANYTHING".  Did it break up the monotony of jumping on  blocks in an empty town? Were you excited to find rare items? Have you experienced any other similar events? Where could we improve when (not if, when) we do this again?  These are they types of feed back posts I'd like to see.

-A region broadcast option would be nice! Something like the GM broadcasts but only broadcasts in a certain region, would surely have streamlined having to /shout to people scattered all over islands

 

-Rallying at the start and giving a speech to everyone gathered on how the cargo is sinking might have been beneficial. By that I mean instead of telling people to go wild at event start, gathering everyone up and then telling them to go (as they do in warclaims) might have given some people more of a fair chance of getting an unlooted chest

 

 

I agree with both. It'd be great to be able to announce things to an entire region, even outside of this event imparticular. Maybe a Region Owner only command? Would be cool to "Ring Bells" to alert people of a meeting or something that might be hiding in their homes not realizing their missing out.


Second part, yea I wanted to make the RP make sense. Suticans knew about an event happening before everyone else. They just didn't know when really. I figured this would be them 'hearing about it in town' versus people across the world hearing about it. The Sutica skype chat got the post before the server restart so they knew, then after restart I put it into OOC. I'm glad though that not only Suticans got stuff, but am glad that Suticans got a 'leg up' because its an event meant for our people that I just wanted to open to everyone else to participate in.
