On the chilled morning of the 9th of the Amber Cold, 1571, the palace doors open wide. Courier boys and town criers flooded the streets, delivering invitations to all, shouting news of a ball to be held in the palace. Each letter, penned in the trademark fine cursive of an educated woman, sealed with the Imperial sigil, would read:

His and Her Imperial Majesty are delighted to inform you that you and your family are hereby invited to St. Adrian’s Ball, celebrating the founding of the new lands. The event shall be held within the ballroom of the Imperial Palace, residing in the capital of Johannesburg.  All are expected to dress in their finest attire. We hope to see you all there!

Events of the Night:

 

St. Adrian’s Feast

The night will begin with an opulent feast presented by our palace chefs. Come enjoy the magnificent desserts by the well known Rhosyn’s Desserts. There will be ample food and drinks, so come on an empty stomach!

 

The Main Event

This would not be a ball without dancing! Use this time to dance and mingle with everyone present. Perhaps dance with your desired maid or gentleman.

 

Dance Contest

Grab your partner and show off your moves on the ballroom dance floor as we dance a traditional waltz. You might want to practice in your spare time leading up to the event!
