((This is still a WIP, so it may change in the future, but for now this is the basics. Also I am foolish to post this and then ask, but please do not meta, this is simply for a good read.))

Vladmir shivers as he writes quickly, the bite was surely to take over any second. He quickly pulls a bottle of sheep blood and begins drinking, careful not to spill it on the parchment.

Diary entry of Lord Vladmir

I am writing this with haste, the bite is sure to take me over, I am already feeling the urges. It all began on a cold night, and with a even colder rumor, that chilled me to the bones.

Me and a couple of my close friends were just getting ready to leave our local tavern, we all had work to do and were going to head back to our manors to do. As the rain beat down on the roof, two scruff looking men barged through the doors laughing. They looked like they had just came from a war, and were speaking of strange occurrences, that I thought to be rumors. Just as I hit the door I heard a glimpse of their conversation, "And as he spoke he cleverly leaned in for a kiss on her cheek, but instead of kissing the cheek, he bit her, right on the neck!" They said laughing it off. This one simple rumor would be my downfall.

Vladmir shakes and begins scratching his body, he knew he would have to feed soon, the sheep's blood would not quell the hunger.

I went home that night and all I could think about were the strange words the men talked about. For the next few days I had completely ignored my work, only focusing on finding any explanation to this rumor. What I had found was vague, but through several highly valued pieces of art it truly showed what it was. It had seemed that it was a sickness, a illness if you will. It affected the central nervous system making the body hunger for... blood... not animal blood. Though most reasonable scholars simply said it was dementia, mind over matter if you will, they said that there was no such thing, that it was all a mind game that your brain played with you, and that your body believed. I believed this foolish theory as well, until HE showed up.

Vladmir nods his head, trying his damnest to remember, but the urge was so great. After several minutes of thinking the memories came flooding back.

It was the dead of night, my little hunt for the truth had now become my obsession. I had spoken to several scholars all of which dismissed the claims I made. This little rumor... it was driving me insane. I guess there was one good thing HE brought me, and that was relief that I wasn't insane. The wind began howling and I closed my window, lit a candle and began writing what I had found. In the past week several humans, mostly female, had gone missing, only to be found again dead. My boards began to creak and I listened closely, it was not my old house, it was a invader. I grabbed my iron sword and opened my door, there was no one, but the air was cold as death.

Vladmir cries a bit, but his cries become small chuckles, he licks his lips.

As I turned around HE was there, the man who confirmed my fears. He smiled at me from his dark black robes and under his snug hood. I was paralyzed, I couldn't move, his stare was so.... enchanting. He chuckled a bit before sinking two sharp points into my neck. As I began to fall unconscious HE removed his hood. HE was me, I still do not understand it, but it happened, it must have been magic.

Vladmir begins to fall unconscious from the sheer amount of mental damage that has been caused, but before he does, he writes a few last words.

My obsession was now my reality

Vladmir falls unconscious, he would awake several weeks later as a new man, a creature of the night with a thirst for blood.
