Coming from dwarf playerbase be being a GM I expected a lot more shady **** tbh. Honestly you can take a lot of whats going on for its face value. Something to keep in mind when considering the GM team is its not nearly as united as would be expected. Generally speaking the GM's get along with each other as individuals for the purpose of remaining professions but there isn't really a concentrated plan to push a certain agenda. Nowadays a lot of GM's work on personal goals or projects which means that even as a GM we're in the dark a lot about what others are doing. I think the Kha leak was an example of things the playerbase didn't know which the GM's did albeit tbh I don't think most of the GM team even knew about it based on votes.

As for the question—what did you consider the most difficult aspect of your GM tenure?

I've been planning to leave for some time just double check if with Dizzy or Nala if you need confirmation, I'm a volunteer and I'm here for personal enjoyment.I don't feel the need to further connect myself to LotC as info regarding everyone is already easy enough to get. My comment regarding teegah wasn't being harsh on teegah, I honestly think the guy has a really good grasp on the community. However it doesn't matter how well he does based on the fact that his positions importance is entirely reliant on the actions of others and how they choose to regard the feedback he handles. In that respect I think teegah's position is at a disadvantage as if there ever comes a point in time where dev's outright refuse to compromise with the changes wanted he's gonna go down in that ship with them regardless of his own efforts or views on it.

 

Question: Handling a conflict in which both raiders and defenders are being petty and dancing the line with rules. Those usually come down to a point where both groups are asking to be chosen to be the winner and neither is willing to compromise.

I think you used your ability to play Xan to your advantage to better your holy magic over the other groups. I mean really how can anyone compete with one group having someone who can actually play the aengul at a whim. Asides from the magic stuff I haven't an issue and you seem to have a good mind for the current issues the server faces.

Ditch the business formality form of speaking and talk to more people informally. More folks you speak on an equal level  the more honest they'll be with you regarding how they view the server as a whole. At the end of the day this is more a community then it is a business, yes there is the business side to it but nobody really gives a **** as long as the server can stay up, and because its a rather outspoken community they'll tell you what they think is wrong and they'll give suggestions on how to compromise and fix it if you push further and start bouncing back ideas. Talk to enough folks you'll be able to melt down the ideas into something that works for near everyone. I just think the formality hurts more then it helps as all it does is create unnecessary distance between staff and playerbase.
