Ban Time Adjustments

Good afternoon,

 

Coming to you today about a few changes to our ban-times.

 

X-Raying

While X-raying damages the server economy we realize it is generally not done with malicious or destructive intent, but rather to give yourself or your group an unfair and selfish advantage. In the event of a ban (on the terms that you cooperate with staff & return all mined ores) we have reduced the time from 3 months, to a 1 month ban. This does not apply to a repeated offense.

 

Duping

Duping (of any kind, minas/items) incurs by far the most damaging and long-lasting effects on gameplay, for this reason we are elevating duping to incur the highest possible degree of ban you can receive.

 

The first instance of duping will cause an indefinite ban with full appeal required, and the second instance will cause a mechanically enforced permanent ban (the /unban command will not function for your accounts).

 

Minimaps

We have also been made aware of bans handed out for using minimaps, to make this clear—we will not be banning players who use a simple minimap mod. Some of these mods show a Y-level outline of where you are and while this unfortunately reveals some dungeons we have decided it is unrealistic to ban for every instance of this.

Where is the boundary between a 'simple' minimap mod and one that will get someone banned? That seems like a pretty vague distinction that should be clarified.

I dont think there is a simple minimap mod these days. A lot of them have kinda of "cheat" feel to them due the many things they can be use to see(people, animals, caves(From the minimap if you're undeground). I personally dont use any of the these features. Just the ones they help me get around from A to B

Mods that provide a distinct advantage for you over another player in regards to combat are bannable unless otherwise specified. AKA if your minimap shows player locations for people you couldn't see by looking at, or displays chest locations is typically considered as such. Waypoint systems are cool, but if this makes you more powerful in PvP it's out of question.

you can't enforce this though, unless someone is dense enough to leave it on in a video

That's generally how it happens, and is also what I said in my post anyways. You won't be banned for having minimaps.

Нам пришлось это убрать—хреновый баг весь сервер отключал из за этих палаток. Когда нибудь опять добавим но не скоро.

Ну ладно, а что насчёт баннеров? Конечно можно покрасить их из белого в зелёный, например, но при этом используется 2 слоя элементов. А всего слоёв 6, что сам понимаешь делает их менее детальными.
