Nate1450 111 Share Posted September 10, 2016 The Aureon Feast 10th of the Great Harvest, 1576 At the Aureon Manor in Linandria, there was a feast to be had. The house was full of Mali visitors, and a strong scent of steak was present, radiating from the kitchen. The manor had been cleaned to perfection, and the cooks of tonight's meal were almost ready to serve. After all of the guests received their food from the bar, Leo Aureon was ready to begin his speech. "Alright, now that everyone is settled. It is now time for me to suck up my f****** pride and address a few things. Do not take this as a groveling, but as understanding of my actions come of late. I would like to state that my actions have been a bit uncalled for, for example, fighting Damai with one arm. Not only should I have waited on healing, but fighting a Chirr is unacceptable. Nonetheless, what I did was against my oath to the Sirame. When I came to the Sirame, I had just left the Dreadlanders. I came with slight fear knowing I could have just been killed. I wanted to dwell amongst my kin, being raised by humans has caused me to think differently than my fellow Mali’ame. I have been in many forces of the guard, I was the right hand man of my captain in the Emerald Rangers, but out of all the forces I have been in, the Sirame is the one I feel at home with. When Elv began to mentor me I felt as if for the first time someone saw saw potential in me. Sadly, I somewhat spit on the notion when I act out the way I do. Now that I have said this I would like to say to my fellow Sirame one thing. I will change. It may not be quick and easy, but I will. I only refuse to be a stone hearted man, for I believe that having some softness is the way to be an ample guard. I know most of you will disagree on that. So I ask you my fellow Sirame, will you forgive my actions?" After Leo gave his speech, the members of the Sirame that were present began voicing their acceptance of his apology. After the Sirame members were done talking, people resumed their feasting and socializing, until Leo shouted, "Anyone wanna hear how I killed the bear?!" Those seated at the table wanted to hear the story, so Leo began. Spoiler "So, there I was. I was takin' Ayda out for a hunt, to let her get a feel of what it is like. We started to track this deer and we found it, but it was just a wee buck. We let it go so it could live its life a bit longer. Then as we looked for some more tracks, we stumbled upon some bear tracks. When me and Ayda were gettin' ready to start runnin', the bear bursted from some underbrush. Me bein' the hero I am, I shoved Ayda behind me and out of the path of the bear. The bear clamped down right on my arm, down to the bone! It pinned me on top of Ayda and went to send a paw flyin' right at my face. I had already had my short sword out and I let the bear run its own hand to my blade. As I was distracted by one paw, the other came right at my face! It ripped right into my cheek leaving deep gashed for a bad a** scar! I don't recall much after that, so I'll let Ayda fill ya in on what I did in my blind rage." Ayda hid behind the bar, terrified of addressing the crowd, so Leo quickly picked right back up. "I managed to wound the other bears arm and get it off of me. As the bear rose upon its hind legs, ready to crush me and Ayda with full force, I ran the f***** through his heart! Ayda then rode me back here and then Aelthus, Alex, and Nate managed to fix me up." After Leo's story, he then proceeded to go towards his girlfriend, asking her "Will you marry me?" The Aureon Manor grew silent, awaiting the answer from Aydalyn. Aydalyn blushed, opening her mouth, then closing it immediately. All of the color drained from her face, and she sprinted through the manor, out the back door. The Manor erupted with questions, concerns, and laughs from a few. Leo abruptly ran after her. After a few moments, Leo ran into the Manor, shouting, "SHE SAID YES" The rest of the feast was then spent toasting and drinking, celebrating the new couple's engagement. Long may they stay together. spqrSancus 175 Share Posted September 11, 2016 Asul'athri Parir'taliyu, having come to the feast without knowing that there were plans for an engagement, had felt highly unprepared upon it's announcement. He frantically searched his person for a range of engagement gifts, as his kind were wont to give upon such an announcement. Settling upon a sparkling emerald necklace he had made due to the sheer excess of the jewels he had in his profession, and a bluesteel falcata he had just recently forged, he quickly made his way up to the couple to grant them their stunning gifts before he had to leave. Both accepted quite graciously, marvelling at the beauty of the creations the former mali'thilln had made and was now giving to them in celebration of the joyous engagement. As he quickly bade farewell and left, he bade them a fair many offspring and a happy marriage, leaving Ayda somewhat flustered at the insinuations. It seemed, that even in these dark times, the bright ones would shine brighter still. If only it might last. ((Description of the Sword - At Leo's Bequest)) A bluesteel falcata fashioned after the blades of the mali'ame of rather ancient times, in a simple leather and dark oak wood scabbard. When lifted into the light, it glimmers and shines as the light refracts off the strange diamond-iron alloy. It's crossguard has a slight curve upwards, the grip of the hilt string-wrapped and then leather-bound. The pommel, screwed onto a full-tang, is modelled after a ribbed mace, and it bears a fine decorative blue diamond set deep within, causing it to seem to gently shine a soothing blue when lifted into the light.
