Hello, I'm Holiest I also have some questions

I'm from another quite, downgraded and ruined server and this place looks cool and proper without all the "dank maymays and ecks dee"

other than obvious questions, I want to make an angel character, or something in lore similar. Would that be allowed at all? I have a winged being named Lucien who serves under Holy I would like to use on this server so I need to know if I can have him as an angel or upgrade him into one.. or if its not allowed?

I also have questions about if this is pure roleplay or can you kill things and buy things for money... 
A lot sounds complex to me, I read the rules everywhere but theres no subheadings and it's easy to get lost.

I hope I have a good welcome and get the answers I'm looking for before I try to sign up for the server.

This server does contain a fir bit of memes, however the Game Moderators try their hardest to make sure it doesn't leak into roleplay. and the Forum Moderators make sure that the forums at least maintain a certain level of dignity, tough soldiers.

 

Short answer to the Angel question, no.

 

Long answer, maybe, extremely unlikely. There's a lot of things that are not exactly impossible lorewise, however I would suggest you start a character from something basic and see where the RP takes you. You never know what experiences you will have in RP that may lead you to want to do something different.

 

As for buy and kill things for money. There is a grey area between the thing you can do with IRL to in-game commerce. For instance it is acceptable to buy Minecraft skins for real life money for your character. However it isn't okay to buy characters for their professions. There is an in-game currency you can us to buy assassinations and what not, but I would suggest for the most part not investing real life money into sketchy stuff.

Perhaps you could try an orc, They have Glorious roleplay, from their shamanic rituals to their glorious tavern roleplay.

Although it might not make your character become an angel, I'd suggest (if you want to be a holy warrior) to become a Paladin or Cleric. You'll have to find the orders to learn about them, but that makes the RP all the better! Have fun, and hope you enjoy!

There are quite a few of, what I consider advance races with a holy genre. Ascended, keepers and augurs to name a few. Though none current have wings like what an angel would have. If you're looking to become a holy warrior or cast holy magic, there are quite a few holy orders in rp, you just need to find them and figure out what words best for you. Have fun figuring out our vast world, if you have questions feel free to post some more. Our community is usually very kind of new players.

If you'd want to become an Oricsh demon (Spirits, their deities) I suggest roleplaying with the orcs until you earn their trust, and become an Muyakelg, an Spirit made into an Mortal body. Until then then there are a TON orcish guides.

Angels, sadly, are not a thing on LotC. There's not many similarities, either; as previously stated, holy magic users and holy beings are probably the closest.

 

That being said, you can enjoy many of this server's creatively made creatures; perhaps not become on of them, and RP as it, but still.

Although, the first introduction to this server is the application, as it is white-list based! If you find yourself in need of any help, contact myself or a member of the application team (Usually referred to as the AT. Their signature color is mainly green.)

 

And for the time being, you can enjoy being a wandering soul... Somewhat smiliar to an angel, I suppose! (Wandering souls are people who aren't in the whitelist.)

Arkelos had an angel character back in Anthos, but it was ET approved and she still ended up being forced to go back to being a normal character because people found it strange. I thought it was cool, but yknow, that's just my opinion, man. Here on LotC we like it when players start their characters from near zero, and anything on par with an angel, like you're wanting, would be "endgame" roleplay. The kind of stuff you'd get after being on the server for several months to a year and being in the right groups.
