What is roleplaying?: Acting out a persona, or filling a role. 'Joebob is a paladin of the nine divines!' 'Jimbob is an elven ranger.'

What is metagaming?: Having a character know something that they shouldnt, as it was learned OOC. 'Joebob heard IRL that Jimbob slept with his sister!'

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Forcing an action/Not allowing a response. 'Joebob cuts off Jimbob's head!' As opposed to 'Joebob swings his sword at Jimbob's neck!'

Character’s name: Karyssmov Faroe

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 19

Biography : Karyssmov Faroe, born 1566, is a man who would have gone unknown in the books. He was a denizen of Metz, Lorraine for 15 years before leaving on a pilgrimage to find himself and what he wishes in the world. While always believing in The Creator, he was not in strong of faith as he appeared outwardly. His leaving on a pilgrimage was a sort of tipping point of which he was losing himself, and had no clue as to where he was going, or what he had wanted. Emaciated and weak from malnutrition, he believes he was 'visitied by The Creator' in a dream, and now seeks to find the meaning behind the words said to him during that communion. He has since been wandering the lands, searching for ways to prove his worth to The Creator.

 

During his travels, before the crisis point of 'The Communion', he spent time with an elderly woman who claimed to be his grandmother, despite his firm assertions that such a woman died many years before. He found himself unable to leave her house by his own will, and instead stayed for a year. During this time, the elderly woman schooled him the ways of healing wounds, and told him that he'd 'make a fine healer, just like his grandfather!'. When awakening the next morning, he found himself in a patch of woods, the house seemingly gone. Karyssmov firmly attests that it was 'a guiding angel'.

 

Inwardly, the thought that the 'Communion' was merely a fever dream is a source of great torment to Karyssmov. While outwardly displaying strong, iron-clad faith, he is unsure of his faith, or whether the figure he saw in his dreams was The Creator at all...

 

 

Personality Traits: Stubborn and prideful, unflinching in will.

Ambitions: He wishes to find the meaning behind the words said in his dream. He secretly wants to open a tavern called 'The Bottom-Feeders Abode'.

Strengths/Talents: Force of will. Karyssmov has no issue imposing his thoughts onto people, emotionally, or physically.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: He has a difficult time being told that he is wrong, and fights tooth and nail to prove that he is right. (even if he IS wrong.)

Appearance: 5'10, Unkempt brown hair, with minor scarring on his chest.
