What’s the rule you agree with the most?: “All roleplay on LoTC must abide by server lore. Lore can be found on the Wiki or Forum lore section. You cannot play as a race that is not lore-approved, and you require LM/MAT approval for races not a part of the Dwarves, Elves, Humans, Kha, or Orcs. If you wish to add lore to LoTC, it must be submitted and approved before it can be played.” I agree with this rule the most because it provides a foundation for characters and is understood by all players. Not abiding by the lore can cause confusion and uncertainty among others.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I found it on Minecraft Servers under the ‘Roleplaying’ tag.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is taking the role of a character and portraying that character while utilizing the character’s own unique background, race, knowledge, etc.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information outside of your character’s knowledge to aid  your character.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is forcing actions on another player’s character without allowing them room to react.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Nolan Pyallithe was born in 1568 to Ferdinand and Victoria Pyallithe. In 1571, Vailor was abandoned and Nolan’s family arrived in the Isles of Axios. There, Nolan’s father established a successful business once Johannesburg was completed. Because of his family’s wealth, they were invited to and attended the Grand Ball of 1574. When he was old enough, Nolan trained in combat alongside many of his friends.

At age 9, Nolan’s mother passed due to an undetected illness. Now a child without a mother figure, Nolan convinced his father to let him live with a relative who was located on the outskirts of the Orenian Empire. There, Nolan developed skills that he would need outside the protection of civilization. Nolan learned to do things on his own. His father died soon after and (after refusing to inherit his father’s business) a distant relative received the responsibility of the business. After 10 years, Nolan decides to explore the world for new knowledge and is starting with returning to his childhood home, Johannesburg.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Due to his mother’s death early in his childhood, Nolan does not like to get too attached to anyone. However, he does like to socialize. He tends to push others away if they get too close. He dislikes commitment relationship-wise and gets bored often. Nolan also dislikes carrots.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Nolan aspires to be an explorer and great scholar.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He can climb and run exceptionally fast. He is a decent swordsman. He is a good scholar, having being raised to take over his father’s business.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Nolan cannot adapt to new situations easily because he has not had much change in his life. He can be ignorant and refuse to accept other’s beliefs. He is horrible at archery and hand to hand combat.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Nolan has blueish-green eyes, copper hair, and stands at 5’10. He weighs 142 lbs.
