To Clarify the Election

Velwyn adresses an open court, all Senators and citizens invited

It has come to the attention of myself that legislation has been enacted by the senate regarding the re-election of Urguan. Although historically it has fallen upon the people of Urguan to choose their King, the Senate has, with Torvin Grandaxe's regal approval, opted to mount the power in to their own hands. Although voted upon by the Senate, which is supposed to be representative of the clans, I feel strongly that many of Urguans denizens are oblivious to the changes at hand.

Furthermore, since the conception of the revised articles, there has been no clarification on the electoral process. It is also my belief that the legislation voted upon, although agreed, was never legitimately added to the articles. If undocumented, it does not exist in law. Urguan has never used law that was not legally binding to the articles, considering the agreed amendment is spoken and not written, it is not binding and we should not consider this change legitimate.

If the legislation was drafted before the meeting, presented to the Senate and then enacted through an official mandate, then it would be considered law. It was never formally drafted, therefore Senators will not have known explicitly what they were voting for, nor was it officiated through an official amendment to the articles. We cannot simply draft the legislation anew, as it was not presented in the initial meeting, nor do we have an official capable of giving regal approval.

I suggest we defer to our former electoral process from the previous articles, allow our people to vote for their ruler directly and clarify this for future reference.

One cannot replace un-clarified amendments with more un-clarified amendments.

Dwain pulls out a paper scribed by the rememberancers after the clans moot that was held. Dwain remembers the fighting and the Ironborn fight but the clans moot did do good that day.

Amendment: Voting process for Grand King

In the event of a empty throne the clans of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan will convene and put forth their candidates for Grand King. After a stone week for the clans to decide themselves the Senate will convene again and will vote for the Grand King. Each senator has one vote. If in the event of a tie the Lord Regent will be considered the tie breaker.

Dwain frowns at the rough product and ever wonders if the rememberancers eve finished the project but they was other pressing matters for sure.

((This meeting also had the lore change vote for the dwarves which hasnt been brought up either.... shame the people incharge never actually got **** rolling and pushed it off)
