2 patrols have gone missing just outside the lower walls. The forest has been abnormally silent and not much remains of the patrols other than a few pins and blood spatters. Patrols have been stalled until scouts can find the source of the issue.

A massive man in plate has been killing off the scouts. We’ve had to resort to looking for the creature in distanced pairs. I believe the man views this as a sport, as he’s resorted to leaving the pins in neat piles. As ordered, I retreated as soon as I got a good view of the man. Something seems off about him but I can’t quite place a finger on it. Further observation is required.

The man is anomalous. He has taken countless arrows, bolts and strikes. Nothing has worked. Patrols in the area will have to be permanently halted until the creature is dealt with. Should this be ascended to Caius himself, I beg of you, Sire. See this tended to, hire specialists if need be. This demon is beyond any man I know!

The assaults and petty skirmishes continue. There has been no progress and the men tire. We can’t keep this up, not now. We require more men. Where are the outlanders? Do they not see what we face each day? Mordring’s Bridge is but a single misstep from falling into the hands of the undying.

- Garrison Private [Redacted]

15th of the first seen, 1603

Our prayers have been met! We’ve been given a brief respite and fresh blood takes the ruined tower. May the creator watch over them. The march home went without incident and to be outright, the assaults have lightened. It’s almost peaceful.

- Garrison Private [Redacted]

18th of the first seed, 1603.

Today the battle of the Southern Garrison resulted in a success and repelled an attempt at our undead enemies opening a second front to stretch our resources further. However the costs itself have proven high with an estimated 60% of our forces being either wounded or killed during the defense.  A reason stemming from the fact our own own forces which had been trained in combat have begun filling their ranks armed with axes capable of cutting through the toughest of armor following their death in the field and resurrection to serve as walking corpses to lead their charge. May Owyn guide us through these dark times.

-Recruit/Scout Darwin Alers

23rd of the first seed, 1603

An auxiliary force consisting primarily of Adunian men has gone missing. Their orders were to investigate a manor rumored to be a staging point for the undead. A secondary force has been deployed but, like the first, has gone silent. For now, efforts will be halted. Specialists are absolutely required.

"I wonder if they will ever put up a decent fight."

Idly commented this 'man' in thick plate, trudging to his campsite through the Westerlandic woods.

Braehn sets down the dossier on his desk, sighing. He pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance and closes his eyes. He turns to Deputy Sheriff Gavin and opens his eyes."Round up the Rangers, we're going to find Argyll and his boys." Gavin gives a solemn nod before getting up from his desk. As he reaches for his crossbow mounted on the wall, he turns to Braehn. "You think they're still kickin', Sheriff?" Braehn rises from his desk, contemplating an appropriate answer. "We'll see, Gavin. We'll see."
