A Bud

The patch of flowers sat rooted on the back of big bertha. Quite pretty if you ask me, I don’ see many flowerin’ plants ‘round her back. The majority of them had already bloomed.

Meditation

Yesterday I learned how ta meditate, isn’ too hard, but quite difficult to get the hang of. I sat down by the flowers and ya know listened, I took in the sound of gulls screechin’, big bertha swimmin’, the flowers wavin’ at me in the wind, and I thought of Cerridwen. The name pounded through me head, ye would think that it would distract me from the meditatin’ but nope, its a nice name ya know, peaceful at its nature.

Watching

This was the hard part, usually I meditate with me eyes closed, but me task was to watch the flower bloom. This is a pretty easy task compared to the other ones, ya know, bein’ drugged and attacked and/or left alone in the woods for a while. Now this flower took ‘round eight hours to bloom, I don’ know about ye but that is a long ass time ta watch a flower.

The Flower

As I watched, the flower just seemed to stay the same for the first hour or so, but lookin’ back on it, it did much more, it grew like a lil’ babe. The bud started to change after that point, started to unfurl, like a stiff blankie that ye soak with water. I started to get drowsy ‘round three hours in, but I knew that I had a long way to go. It took a while ta unfurl the first layer of petals, ye could start ta see the inside. It had some lil’ stems in there with these yello’ things on em, I dunno what they're called, but  will call em umbrella stems. So the flower kept unfurlin’, and after ‘round five hours in the umbrella stems started ta widen out a bit, the inner petals seemed ta be stuck together but gradually they separated. Now the yello’ part on the umbrella stems started ta spread out, it looked quite funny, like lil’ dancers but slow dancers. Actually very slow dancers, this took a long ass time. Then the process seemed ta speed up, I dunno if I just got used ta the waitin’ but it wasn’ that bad. So the whole flower seemed ta change, at this state ye could tell it was a flower, but everythin’ seemed a lil’ too close fer the bees ‘nd stuff ta call ‘ome. Actually I don’ think bees live in flowers, I think they live in bee hives, but the land of Axios may never know the true home of bees. After that in the last hour or two, the petals just flattened, nothin’ too major but it made em look a lol’ more appetizing. Keep in mind that I wen’ eight hours with no food, just sittin’. Now that is all, I stayed fer like half an hour later ‘nd nothin’ changed that much so I left.

Aftermath

Now this was a hard part for me, first thing that I did was eat some food ya know, not just any food but some high quality raw mooshroom beef. I missed Athri’s cookin’ but I was too hungry ta wait on it to be made, raw beef isn’ that bad actually. But the worst part was the cramps. Oh the cramps! Imagine sittin’ down for fewkin’ hours on end, Me legs were killin’ me, Ah felt like an ole’ man me knees hurt so damn bad.

Writing

As I’m writin’ this I still hurt from the sittin’ down, I swear it has been two hours since the meditation and I still hurt. Now I wen’ into this thinkin’ it was going to be an easy task, but I tell ye sittin’ down fer eight hours is a killer.
