The Phoenix Prince

Once Upon a time, a child was born, he was scrawny and pale, the doctors and surgeon's of the child's land all told his father that the child was not long for this world, he was scrawny, weak and sickly, he explained. The Father did not listen, he continued to spend a small fortune on these doctors to keep his son alive, and though it was nearly all in vain, the child lived, and kept fighting and struggling to survive. The Father thought his child was weak, yet strong, even though it would have been easier to let go, he kept fighting and fighting. When the child became a toddler, he was still weak, and pale, and yet he still fought, he was not strong, but he figured his brain could become strong. The Child did what people do, the best they can. The Child tried, he studied, and he worked his hardest to become strong in any way that he could, yet still, he couldn't shake the deep depression manifesting inside of him, his heart was plagued with grief for no good reason at all, and sometimes he struggled to leave his bedroom for days on end. The Child knew he would battle this foe for life, and he decided that he would do his best to combat the invader.

 

The Child grew into a man, and The Man turned into a Jarl and the Jarl turned into a Prince, he was a rising person, and this was only the beginning, the Prince married a Princess, and he was soon to be king, but the Gods were cruel, and nothing good ever lasted for long, The Prince became very ill, and he began to die, his Vassals left, his Wife left, everyone left, everyone besides his family, He was paralyzed, he couldn't move or think, he was in a slumber that seemed to have no end in sight, his family was the only one that stayed to care for him, his body became weak and his skin pale once more, and he hardly moved, besides his chest, moving up and down between breaths, he was inactive for so long that some people thought he may never awake again, but they continued to faithfully tend to the Prince, and one day. . .
