MTVSHBG 10 Share Posted June 25, 2017 Elder Scrolls: Shattered Era Tamriel was flipped on it’s side. Chaos ensued, and everything seemed bleak. With the World Shatter, the Aldmeri Dominion had no one to lead it; the Empire had no one to lead it. Hammerfell has no one to lead it. The world was left without leaders. It took nearly 70 years to reach the stability of today, but stability has returned, at least in part. The counties of Tamriel have been tamed once more. Now, the future of them all lies in the hands of their leaders. Starting Information Everyone starts the game with a few certain things in their tile; You have your base of operations (usually a major city) in disrepair, an iron mine because iron is crap, and some farms so your people don't starve. You also have whatever is agreed upon from your free actions. Magic: Magic is more ambiguous than it is in the actual games. The spells from the game are more guidelines for this, where magic is handled a little more freely. Anything you can do with magic in the Elder Scrolls games, you can do in this game, however, there is more to magic than that. The Elder Scrolls games handle magic the way it is because it NEEDS to be done that way, for a magic system to really work. This game shouldn't have that issue. GrimBeard 46 Share Posted June 26, 2017 Crescent Empire The Prince was in one of the highest rooms he could find. It was sad, but the glorious White-Gold tower had fallen into disrepair. Now only carrion birds roosted in the highest rooms. And so the Prince was content with what he could get. Looking upon the city, this tall and strong man looked regal indeed. His face was sharp, almost sculpted. His eyes were icy blue. That was what most noted of his looks. Those eyes had a power, a sense of something deeper. Many could not hold the Prince's gaze, casting their eyes down. He was dressed in what was now 'old fashion' garb. A typical robe for an Emperor's prince of old. Many still wore styles akin to long ago. But it had it's own new flavor, reflecting the Empire. But not the Prince, he was rooted in tradition. Ticking the minutes off, he heard foot steps approaching. Exactly on time, he smiled. He heard his man Tullo mutter words of greeting to the visitors. The door opened, and two men bedecked in Blades armor enter. Kneeling, the Captain exclaims; "Amantius, my Prince, I have returned and successfully done your bidding." Lifting Captain Flaro to his feet, Amantius beams at his favorite Blade. "Captain, I would hope so. It is good to know that your men have found the Library in tact. We will make great use of it in the days to come. I have talked to the council about it. First off, it will be the new head quarters for your men. The Blades shall reside in the Library. Of course detachments will remain here at White-Gold." The two continued to talk for hours, plotting out many new ambitions for the re-established Blades order. But eventually they reached conclusions, and parted ways. Captain Flaro went off to begin moving his men. They would protect the Library, and board in it. Alongside that, the head mage and his three adepts move in as well. They will act with scholars and look into the vast reservoir of knowledge. Prince Amantius heads to the council chambers, for another round of discussions. Though not the true 'Emperor' Amantius is the closest thing they have. He is without a doubt in charge, though the council holds a collective power. They had already made great progress, and plan on keeping the expansion going. A few orders are enacted, and Imperial City is put into motion. Assets; Imperial Library, City Walls, Shipyard, Forge/Armory. 98,250 gold. One master and three adept mages. Edicts The tax rate is kept low. Imperial City has a large population, making up for it. This will also hope to encourage more business, people and merchants to move in. Blades and Mages are moved into Imperial Library. They begin to peruse the intact books, looking for good finds. (4,250 gold) A batch of three war ships and a transport is to be built in the shipyards. Resources will be drawn from around the city. (14,000 gold) A mine is to be established near the city limits. The main purpose is for ores to aid the military. (5,000 gold) The forge is put to work to outfit the Legion and Blades. The plan is to go for high quality armor and weapons even if it takes more. (15,000 gold) Prince/Council invest into city business, hoping to grow and eventually make more than they put in back. (10,000 gold) Gold left in treasury; 50,
Soviet Red 11 Share Posted June 26, 2017 The Golden Dominion Current Assets Corundum Mining Operations, Farms Treasury: 90,000 Gold Mages 5 Masters (Including Queen Athaere) 4 Experts 8 Adepts 10 Apprentices The Great City of Alinor, Heart of the Dominion The Glass city was finally rebuilt, mostly. The City Walls were still in great need of repair along with a great other many concerns. Queen Athaere She stood amongst her newly formed council, carefully chosen for their talents and skills. As well as their loyalty. Councillor Aelsinire was her diplomat and foreign ambassador, a quick mind and silver tongue. Vallanil Adus was the Martial, her General and personal trainer. Barthir Sagelock, Athaere’s personal steward for Valinor, who knew inner city bureaucracy and what it needed to thrive. What made him stick out amongst her Advisors was that he was a Bosmer the only Wood Elf in her inner circle, he had earned his place. Vianmir was her Spymaster, a cunning & skillful Elf. Quick with a blade and an expert in field of Cloak & Dagger. Last but not least was her High Priest Telion Faeihle, a faithful follower of Auri-El and organizes local Religious Events and is her advisor on all Religious Affairs. These men have all answered their Queen’s call for service to the Golden Dominion of Alinor, and together they hope to reunite all of the Summerset Isles and bring order to Altmer Society once again. Queen Athaere was 73 years old, not the youngest Queen to ever rule in the Isles but still younger in the eyes of her Altmer colleagues. She was only 3 years old when the Great Event took place. Since then she has grown up training her magical abilities to a Mastery, her Martial Skills may lack somewhat, not quite that of a true warrior yet. She was born under The Atronach, seen from her birth as to be gifted as a powerful sorceress. This grew true in her years of training and practice. She was a young girl, with high dreams and ambitions. But that was then, and this was now… Queen Athaere stood looking out the window of her Palace into the great city of Alinor, her followers and loyal subjects moved about the city. She turned to face her advisors, her long blonde hair past her shoulders. A sign of her age, she kept it well and personally sees it as a sign of her long life. Tall and thin with a slight muscular build from her time training amongst her guard, she wasn’t some high and mighty lord, She had earned her place and her title as Queen. “My lady, the mines are bringing in Corundum Ore for the city and the Farms are working well to provide food for the citizens.” her Steward Sagelock read off his reports “But we have much more to do before the city is able to stand and be ready for your rule in the long run.” he bows his head respectfully. “Very good. I’ve read your reports on what we should do next. I agree taxes should be kept at a Moderate level, we need more to expand and repair Alinor. As well as for defense.” She took a seat at the end of the table. “Martial Adus, I understand your concerns for our military and we shall act on them first. But we also need to expand our mining efforts if we are to be able to equipt our soldiers with what they need. No True Elf should suffer the petty smithing of men, We will show Tamriel what true Elven Skill is.” --Dominion Edicts-- Taxes are put at a Moderate level to allow better expansion for the state but not stress its populations. The Dominion looks to expand their mining operations, mining and tunneling in search of Iron, Quick-Silver, and Moonstone. - 30,000 Gold Alinor’s Defense is given a High Priority, the Capital begins to rebuild and repair its walls - 10,000 Gold Steward Sagelock also oversee the construction of a proper Barracks and Forge/Armory - 8,000 & 7,000 Gold Respectively Queen Athaere and her Master Mages work together to create a Library and Area in the Palace to gather Items, Books, and other items related to Magic - 10,000 Gold Martial Adus works to recruit loyal and capable Altmer and Bosmer into the Dominion Military - 5,000 Gold Spymaster Vianmir works to recruit a small number of Altmer to send into the neighboring provinces of Sunhold and Shimmerene to establish basic Networks to allow Alinor an ear in the basic happenings of these areas - 5,000 Gold Remaining Treasury - 15,000 Gold The End of the old world is over, but a whole new fate for Tamriel is just beginning. Lsuvsfar 255 Share Posted June 27, 2017 Hammerhold/Hegathe Blades struck as Cartos quickly threw up a shield in defense. He rapidly trades blow with his adversary as the clashing of metal could be heard throughout the area. Finally, Cartos was able to hit his shield against the man just right, sending him falling to the ground before finding a sword hovering above him. “Very good,” spoke the Master-At-Arms as he took Cartos’s hand and lifted himself up. “Still could use some work, but not bad.” By this point, dueling had become a normal part of Cartos’s routine. He was determined to push his skills beyond what any had ever seen. Why? Well, Cartos didn’t really know. It just seemed like a very useful skill to have. Cartos sat at a small table. Around it were his father, Derik, and his cousin, Endon. Together, the three men now ruled the realm. “Father, cousin, it is of vital importance that we expand our borders,” Cartos stated to Endon and Derik, “In order for our province to survive, we must grow our population in order to defend against those that wish to do us harm and bring stability to our neighbors.” “I thoroughly agree,” said Derik as he nodded in agreement with Cartos, “Though we may face the possibility of war, the possibilities of further war against rising powers are far more dangerous.” “So then, I suppose we shall send diplomats to deal with the nearby provinces?” asked Endon as he raised a brow. “Yes, that seems like the best option right now,” Cartos replied, “As well as sending in agents in order to get other assessments.” “Now, as for taxes, I think we will be getting those handled quite nicely,” Endon stated, “We will levy light taxes against most of the populous, internal trade, and imports. Let us see just how far we can get based off of the income provided by our mines and trade fleet.” Breakdown Hammerhold shall be sending some men to Stos M’kai, Gilane, Sentinel, Daggerfall, Camlorn, Wayrest in order to negotiate with these provinces or whatever may preside there. For the first round of negotiations, the focus will mainly be on opening up diplomatic lines and garnering favor with the nations. Diplomats will attempt to find out if there is anything that any of the provinces needs or has troubles with, and find out if there is anything which Hammerhold can do to aid them. Hammerhold will also see attempt to find out what valuable resources they may have and discover if there is any trading they could do to bring more money into Hammerhold, whether that be importing much needed resources to Hammerhold, exporting resources to the province for a profit, or discovering an excess of a resource in one province and demand for it in another, and then buying from one and selling to another. Hammerhold will also be sending agents to Stos M’kai, Gilane, Sentinel, Daggerfall, , Camlorn, Wayrest in order to find out more information which might be harder to find out from governing bodies. First of all, agents will try to discover how stable the province is and whether it is unified, somewhat unified, or completely fractured and war-torn. They will then focus on discovering or getting rough estimates of the population of the province. Following that, they will then attempt to discover things such as resources available (mainly iron), military capability, general armament of the military, and if there is any unrest amongst the populous. Hammerhold is also searching for a source of iron for which to begin forging steel from so that it may better arm its army. Vilebranch 410 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Jerallian High Chiefdom Assets: Silver Mine, City Walls, Slavepits Population: 6,850 Mages: 1 Expert, 3 Adept, 5 Novice Military: 0 He leaned over the balcony of Castle Bruma, a look of bemusement stuck on his face. A drunken brawl had broken out in the courtyard between two chieftains over which of their wives belonged to who. Mazat was hard-pressed to interfere as more orcs joined in on the fight for no reason other than violence. He rolled his eyes and began moving to his chamber door when he heard harsh knock. The muffled yelling of his second wife, Lamum, emanated from the doorway, "Malacath's word, Mazat! Your advisors have asked you to go to the council room for the third time, already!" "Damn you, woman! I'll get there when I get there!" the High Chieftain responded. The two berated each other for a minute before Mazat began his descent to the council room. Three aged male orcs sat in their place in the council room and the oldest advisor, Lurbug, let out a sigh of relief as he spotted Mazat. "High Chieftain! I had begun to believe you passed away!" The grizzled orc let out a chuckle. Mazat sat down in his seat, "Indeed, Chieftain, Lamum had me in a damn corner with it. Now, on to important matters. Baznog, have your scouts anything to report?" Chieftain Baznog gives a short cough before speaking. "They do, High Chieftain. Reports show that two Orcish strongholds have been discovered in the northern Holds of Falkreath and The Rift. I recommend opening up a dialogue with these strongholds and perhaps integrating them into the High Chiefdom." "Wonderful, Chieftain. We shall do just that! Set up an envoy to both strongholds, posthaste. Don't be afraid to show off our power." He turns to Lurbug, "Lurbug, have you anything to report?" The elderly chieftain nervously clears his throat, "Well y'see, High Chieftain. The snow hasn't been too kind to the crops. Sure, all us orcs are fine, but the slaves haven't been getting the right amount of food lately. Therefore, I think it wise to expand the potato and wheat farms." Mazat grunts harshly, "So, it'll be done." He stares over at the High Shaman, his head resting on his knuckles. "Mogro. Don't suppose you need something, do you?" The shaman scratched at his back awkwardly, "Well, High Chieftain, it's been quite some time since you gave your time for the Orc-Father. I propose we rebuild the old temple here in his name! A place where all worshipers of Malacath can gather!" He gives a sigh in defeat before moving on, "Alright... That's larger farms, a Temple to Malacath and envoys to Skyrim. Any final grievances?" The three orcs all shook their heads in succession, rose from their seats and walked out of the room Chiefdom Edicts: 2 AP: Rebuilding the Temple in Malacath's honor. 1 AP: Expanding the farms surrounding the city. 1 AP: Establishing diplomacy with northern strongholds. MothMaul 1 Share Posted June 28, 2017 Aether-Wave Pirates Tasius walked the deck of his old ship. It had been nearly ten years since he stepped down as captain of the Omen Hawk, the Aether-Wave's lead ship. Though the other two ships of the pirate fleet had their own captains, all three ships heeded the words of the Omen Hawk's captain. The ship was old, possibly even from before the World Shatter. The other two ships, the Broken Wolf, and the Scorched Eel, were both crafted after the World Shatter, but neither was so magnificent as the Omen Hawk, and so it was the lead of the fleet. Captain Ra'Bhidar approaches Tasius from behind. "Still a beautiful vessel, isn't she? Ra'Bhidar does well keeping her pristine." "Aye, she's still as much a beauty as when I handed her to you, Captain." "None of that Captain nonsense with I, Ri'Tasius. We grew up on these ships together. Ra'Bhidar is fine." I could say the same to you, Ra'Bhidar. None of that Ri' stuff. I'm no Khajiit, so such a title doesn't suit me." "Nonsense. You're the pirate king of Senchal. Ask any who roam it's streets, and they'll answer the same. You may be pirate, but that hasn't stopped you from protecting the order of this town, and all appreciate it." Tasius sighs. "If the people view me as king, then I don't really have a choice in the matter do I? Tasius Titanox, Pirate King of Senchal. I suppose it does have a nice ring, doesn't it?" Ra'Bhidar let's out a laugh, that closely resembles a purr. "Tasius Titanox, Dar'Ri of Senchal. A nice ring indeed." The two of them have a laugh together, chatting away the day. Within a few hours, the night sky has descended, and the stars shine beautifully. Turning to face Senchal, the sandstone homes by firelight were beautiful. "This is our kingdom, Ra'Bhidar." "Indeed it is, Ri'Tasius. This one believes that this is a good kingdom to rule. Treat it well, and it will treat you well in return." Tasius spends some time studying the city's skyline with Ra'Bhidar, before taking his leave around midnight. Ra'Bhidar walks with him, chatting with his old friend. -------------------------- In Senchal, the streets are silent. Such silence is eerie, in Senchal. The Khajiit's night vision means that the city is usually busy, even late at night. As Tasius and Ra'Bhidar walk down the quiet streets, cloaked figures step from the alleys before them. Checking behind them, two more figures have stepped from behind as well, cutting off an escape. Boxed in, Tasius steps forwards, and Ra'Bhidar takes his back. Tasius speaks up. "I suppose you wouldn't just be a group of beggars, hoping for a spare coin, would you?" Silently, the figures pull blades from beneath their cloaks. Tails lash behind the figures, identifying them as Khajiit. Tasius sighs, and Ra'Bhidar pulls his own blades. Ra'Bhidar's philosophy has always been simple; two is better than one. As the two figures charge him, he reciprocates. The two figures grip their blades tightly in both hands, Ra'Bhidar's grip is looser, and he holds a single blade in each hand. As they swing, Ra'Bhidar leaps their blades, and lands softly beyond them. Twisting quickly, he cuts their legs out from beneath them, and the two figures collapse with a yowl of agony. Looking up, Ra'Bhidar sees that Tasius has already encased one assailant totally in ice, and the other is writhing in agony, under an onslaught of lightning. The scent of burning fur and blood fills the air. After several more moments, the Khajiit stops twisting with each bolt, and blood leaks from it's eyes. Tasius stops blasting him with lightning. "Just thugs. Probably thought a couple of people walking the streets alone at night would make easy targets for four swordsmen." Tasius walks past the Khajiit encased in ice, and walked on. Ra'Bhidar wiped his blade clean on the assailants cloaks, then rushes to catch up. MothMaul 1 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Aether-Wave Pirates Tasius stood aboard the pier, furious. The Scorched Eel had sent a messenger hawk ahead, with news of Soul Rest's attempted betrayal. The Scorched Eel arrived late in the day, as the sun was setting. The ship looked relatively fine, though required some minor repairs from the attack at Soul Rest's port. The gangplank was set in place, and the crew made it's way onto land, tired and sore. They headed into town to get drinks. The captain of the Scorched Eel, and the diplomat sent to Soul's Rest left the ship last, and some of the dock workers got to work fixing the damage. "So, Captain Milyhe. What happened, exactly?" Captain Milyhe clears his throat. "Well serjo, it uh... it happened like this. Me and muh boys were escorting Dro'Ato, like we was supposed ta'. Well, we was bein' escorted ourselves too, by them guards o' Soul Rest." Well, when we reached ta center of town, the guards drew their weapons, and started attackin' us. Now, my boys an' I are right quick on the draw, an' we had out weapons out faster than the guards were 'specting. Well, we took the advantage an' pushed our way on outta there, like a greased eel. We got back to ma beaut, right quick, and we sailed on outta there." One of muh boys says he heard 'em talkin' 'bout 'Dirty Pirates' or some such nonsense." Tasius turns to Dro'Ato, the diplomat. "Well Dro'Ato. Does that about sum it up?" Dro'Ato nods. "This one couldn't follow all of this Va'Aneqasa's ramblings, but what this one could put together, the story is true enough." Tasius thinks for a moment, then sighs. "Thank you, Milyhe, Dro'Ato. Please, head into town and rest. You've earned it." Milyhe gives a sloppy salute, and Dro'Ato bows his withered heard, before each head into town. Tasius stays on the docks for most of the night, watching the waves, and the moon slowly drift across the sky until the sun is peeking over the horizon. "Filthy Pirates, huh? Well, maybe I'll just have to show you how 'Filthy' we can really be..." Tasius stretches, and then makes his way to visit his 'General', Bolonar Durash. --------------------------------- Tasius knocks loudly on the door. After several minutes of quiet cursing, and a couple alarming crashes, the door bursts open. "Who is this ea- Oh. Tasius. C'mon in. Pardon the mess. Workin' off a hangover after a night with Ra'Bhidar and Milyhe." Tasius steps into the small house behind Bolonar. Most of the floor is covered in spilled ale and broken glass. Bolonar lifts an old shelf off the floor, and set's it up-right. The small wooden table in the middle of the room only has a couple stools for it, so Tasius takes a seat on the cleaner of the two. Bolonar sets about cleaning the ale and glass. "So, Tasius, to what do I owe your visit this oh so early morning?" "You heard about the Soul Rest incident, I assume?" Bolonar grunts in amusement. "Heard about it? The amount of times Milyhe told it, I practically lived it. Oh, the boys are out for blood. Not just Milyhe's either. Ra'Bhidar, and Sonya's too. I even heard a few of my own calling too. Say what you will, but it seems our land and sea can meet over a tankard or three." "Well, I've been thinking about how to strike back." "Strike back? Listen here boy, we may be pirates, but we're no madmen. Sencahl here is little more than a calm patch surrounded by an ocean of insanity. We haven't the men to strike back." "I know. That's why I want to play the long game. Rather than load our ships with as many men as we can, and send them in, most likely to die, I want to take the longer path. I want to destabilize Soul Rest, and build us up. When Soul Rest finally starts to collapses in on itself, then we come in, and sweep the rug out from under them." Bolonar studies Tasius's face for a moment. Bolonar watched Tasius grow from the moment he had stepped aboard the Omen Hawk, and he saw none of the kid he had first laid eyes on back then. Tasius wasn't over come with rage. He was thinking, planning. He was prepared to do what it took to take Soul Rest down. "Alright then. You're serious, and I can see that. Give me a few minutes to clean this mess up, and then we can sit down, and start with some real planning. Send a hawk to Ra'Bhidar in the meantime. He's your fleet's captain. He should be as much a part of this as I." Once in Soul Rest, they will send a messenger hawk, with a simple encoded message, so Tasius is aware of their arrival. (2 AP) The Moon Sugar markets are carefully monitored for excessive purchases, and rather than outlaw skooma entirely, government controlled skooma production begins. The produced skooma is closely monitored, and to purchase any skooma, a license must be purchased in advance. The amount of skooma sold to any person is also closely monitored, so as to avoid skooma addiction overrunning the town. To keep careful track of all of this, only one distribution center exists in all of Senchal. Both it, and the production facilities, are carefully monitored. Any employee caught stealing from the production facility is immediately fired, and their license is revoked. Any location producing and/or selling skooma is swiftly and harshly dealt with. Anyone caught producing/selling skooma is sent to the new Corundum mine as labor for 2 years per offense.

Soviet Red 11 Share Posted July 3, 2017 The Golden Dominion Current Assets & AP Accumulation Farms Crudely Repaired Walls (1 AP Total) Corundum Mine (2 AP Total) Mages 5 Masters (Including Queen Athaere) 4 Experts 8 Adepts 10 Apprentices Alinor’s walls have begun to return to their former glory, but it would require much more work before they could defend Alinor properly. The Mines having not produced anything new in recent efforts the Council has decided to wait expansion and focus on defense and diplomacy. Queen Athaere and two of her Advisors, her Steward and her Martial plan out a section of the city to be designated for Military purposes, from training, to forges, and the Shipyard. “We’ll need a forge first, a better one to produce the steel we need to arm our soldiers. The Barracks and such can be improvised until then, Soldiers and gear to arm them is most important now.” Her Martial looks about nodding “I agree My Lady, we shall begin work on it immediatly." Queen Athaere returns to her Palace where she awaits word on current projects. In her spare time she sits in her private study with ink and parchment. “ To Lady Nalanye Chamaine, I write to you in hopes of opening up trade and Diplomatic ties. From what I hear you rule over your people well, you take care of them and in turn take care of your realm. It is excellent to know that competent people have arisen to quell the chaos since the events 70 years ago. I will not hide my wish to unite Summerset Isles under a strong rulership, The world may soon shift its attentions to Summerset for past transgressions. The Humans and Beastfolk if the rumors hold true are responsible for the 70 years of chaos. Let us open our Provinces to one another in hope and progress towards a strong Summerset, a United Dominion. I will of course be willing to meet with you in the future in person to better discuss possible agreements. For now I only ask for open trade and travel between our lands.” With great respects - Kariea Athaere, Queen of Alinor Athaere carefully folds the parchment and seals it before putting it in a shielded container and sets it aside. For she had more to address.. “To Lady Elanrine Aedaine, I am writing to you personally in hopes of achieving open trade and borders for our people. Your exploits as a strong and stoic leader have reached my ears. Such is expected from an Altmer, for it is our place to lead others is it not? I ask you this for I hope our similar views may bring a sort of Cooperation between our respective Rulerships. In the near future should relations be accomplished I hope to send my Advisor to represent me in your court. Enemies surround Summerset and even within her borders, but we are capable of returning Order to this Chaos. I pray to Auri-El that too know of the stories of who has caused this great shattering of the world. They deserve to be punished.” With Great Respects - Kariea Athaere, Queen of Alinor These letters would be sent to their respective destinations in Shimmerene and Sunhold --Dominion Edicts-- The Dominion begins construction of a Forge for Alinor’s soon to be army.
