The news of Lhindir's death would arrive at Veris quickly, Laethesia just catching the last thread of gossip concerning it. A heavy exhale escaped her person as the words flooded her mind, floating into her every thought and concept.

 

Every boat and cart ride she took home seemed to last an age, until she finally paced along the warm sandy desert once more. She cast a glance to her house as she passed it, lingering for just a moment before continuing on her aimless wander. The sun was beginning to go down, her gaze tilting towards the pinks and oranges of the sky as she spoke aloud.

 

"I know you didn't approve. No one did." She paused briefly, her steps coming simply to a halt. "And I know you pit us children against eachother, t' fight for your favour."

 

Her voice'd become unsteady, a tinge of sadness to it by this stage. "But you were still my maln. I'm sorry."

Kehlani'leyun would be found by her lover Amara, sitting down in the living room with her cat, Jynx sleeping on her lap. She'd be found to not have a bright smile as always, a few wilting flowers would be seen by her side. 

 

The sadness Kehlani felt would be categorized as strange to her, usually a cheery person who can never shut up, she'd be quiet, her lips sealed shut. She had only felt like this one other time in her life, her parents separation. But even then she pushed on. Her eyes mist with unshed tears as her chin quivers, her gaze finally settling on Amara.

Ara stands rigid at the news, memories flashing about in her mind. The few good ones with him made her feel a small pang of sadness, but the bad ones washed over them like waves, reminding her of all the bad he had done, and all the pain he put her through. 

 

She'd stop cooking, going to seek out Atlas and comfort her poor son, not knowing what to do in such a situation. The 'ker would murmur, her tone twinged with sadnass. "May whatever afterlife you believe in treat you well Lhindir."
