You stand before the throne of the Archduke of Lorraine. Large banners of a great golden Oak splay the hall, the symbol of the House d'Amaury displayed upon a lush green field. the Archduke sits before you upon a throne of white marble. His Lord Chancellor stands aside him, alongside a hairy kilt-wearing Daelish noble. The young ruler rubs his chin, his features revealing his lack of enthusiasm for the proceeding fairly obvious, the Throne Room being no place for a boy of fourteen years, yet occupied all the same.

You have arrived in Metz to be before the Archduke for some reason or another, to make your request before him. With a sound argument and a bit of luck that request might be granted. Behind you are many more petitioners seeking an audience. You had best not mince your words. You clear your throat, some idea beginning to form in your mind, how to address this enthroned young boy?

"The Archduke will hear you now." states a man close beside you, the Chamberlain no doubt. You step forward before the dais and speak your peace.

Vitaly Basiliesh enters the chamber, kneeling.

"I, Vitaly Basiliesh, First of my name, Patriarch of House Basiliesh, an unlanded house, request Your Grace's permission to establish my House, without any levy or wealth to donate to the Archduke, in the lands of the Archduchy to Lorraine as a minor noble House, acquiring the title of Lord of House Basiliesh and Noble in the Archduchy. I hope Your Grace the archduke gives me a window of five saint's weeks, so that I can accumulate enough money to repay Your Grace's hospitality and kindness."

The man gives a respectful bow, smiling.
