The year was 1640. It was a cold and snowy day, as expected during the Snow Maiden's season. A slaughter had just happened. . .

[A few days prior]

The tensions between the Red Faith and Cannonist religions were at a all time high. A certain armored man though had no interests in what he thought was a petty conflict. He was asked to fight for both sides countless times, but to a Godless man like him, there was no reason to. That changed though. One day, in the markets of Metz, the same man, this time concealed with a hood, witnessed something terrible. Santegian soldiers raided the town, but instead of attacking the guards, they went after another target. . . The civilians. While looking for a place to hide in the madness, the hooded man saw a small far-folk child shot dead for no reason, presumably only because of his skin color. Suddenly, the man behind the hood, a man half far-folk, had found a reason to fight.

A few days later, a few pious and chivalrous knights from the St. Lucians order were seen gathering in Metz' town-square. They were fully clad in steel with their weapons held out proudly. They were looking to right the wrong done to them prior by the Santegians. One of the holy Cannonist knights, an honorable man by the name and title Ser Krogen Roth, took note of the hooded man and the fire in his eyes. He offered him a place beside him and the others fighting against the Santegians, in which the hooded man quickly accepted. There he met Henry Frederick, a famous mercenary, who noted the hooded man's ethnicity. With a wide grin, he armed the man with the weapon his ancestors before him were famed for using, the 'Draco' as called by the far-folk, or to everyone else the crossbow.

10th of the Snow's Maiden, 1640, a painting of the small St. Lucians party draw before they marched for Santegia, artist unknown.

After the long journey to the Santegian Capital outskirts the exhausted St. Lucian knights, fellow Cannonist soldiers and mercenaries were ambushed by the Santegians! But what the Santegians failed to realize was the Cannonists had something they had failed to take into account. . .

PASSION!

They fought back hard, bravely, and without halt, viciously shoving the fray back all the way into the Santegian Capital itself, where the St. Lucians found the justice they so desperately craved. But they weren't monsters, they weren't like the Santegians. Only those who took up arms were slain, and the innocent were left alone, as it should be. The hooded half far-folk man also found justice, gunning down the pale-skinned Santegian soldiers mercilessly with his 'Draco,' the same Santegian soldiers that without mercy nor reason killed the far-folk boy.

The year was 1640. It was a cold and snowy day, as expected during the Snow Maiden's season. A slaughter had just happened. . . And with it, justice had been found.

"I'd say GOD have mercy upon their souls if they weren't HEATHENS." Berenfroy would declare to his good friend Adelmar. @_Stigwig "Now, whose lies is it that are force fed to the adherents of the Red Farce; the Grandfather, was it?"
