Besieged Forthwith, 1641

It would seem as though a great insult had been dealt, because as of the 22nd of the Sun's Smile, 1641, a public notice is sent to both the aviaries of Dominion dignitaries and various remaining institutions throughout those lands that do yet remain unblemished by thanhium and natural disaster.

Such hypocrisy, coming from mouths of those who tout the supposed moral high ground. It is shame that we, on this day, are met with refutation by you who claim to desire peace so, yet are unwilling to give even an inch to fellow sons and daughters of Malin. Though, how can we be surprised by these developments? It is in the character of the Ruling Council of the Dominion, for they embody some familiar - the lethargy and decadence of the Malinorian state. We had thought ourselves done with such inadequacy centuries past, but alas, it chooses now to rear its ugly head once again.

The Bronze Lord extending the offerance of an olive branch. His only demand was that those who embodied this lethargy were purged from rule. That was the cost of peace, and instead, this false ruler chooses to tread the path of self-worship and maintains her cohort of imbecilic Councillors whom serve as nothing more than doting sycophants who seek only to claim her maidenhead. Her mind is a wasteland, vast and empty, with only avarice being her passing thought. Why should a fool blind by hubris lord over us, when the alternative stands? The Elves of the Bronze Law outnumber her own tenfold and yet she willingly turns her people over to the doom of a war that cannot be won.

These men and women have done nothing but question the integrity of others without first analyzing the flaws in their own government that have caused an outcome as undesirable as civil war. They who would subjugate us to the whims of habitual thoughts marred by the presence of a stifling bureaucracy that thwarts all political opposition. Peace was offered twice, and twice denied. This error is derivative of both the utmost fear and arrogance that precedes all other thoughts that cross the mind of an irrational usurper. Further talks were offered and even those were hastily denied by the esteemed and slothful council.

The only response given a mere letter hardly even a paragraph long, a large pretty stamp and signature not even filling what space yet remained on the paper. Elves, Countrymen, lend me your eyes for but the briefest moment of introspection. Twelve Elven hours were wasted doing pointless talks where agreements were made and said to be vote upon, only to be so disrespectfully declined without proper reasoning or communication about the less than desirable terms. On top of this they ask that both sides lay down their arms despite their consistent lies to buy time from damnation. We shall be rebels. Even if it kills us. Or if it kills every insufferable stooge who makes the unfortunate choice to fight for a bureaucracy that skirts the law, punishing clarity to the best of its ability and restricting the power of both its inhabitants and its reformists.  Cernunnos lets slip the dogs of war, so only that the strong may and righteous might endure.

Veidan let out a groan from Caminus upon reading the missive, the hustle and bustle of druids and Elfkin seeking to recuperate from the attacks on Sutica, the Mother Grove, and Linandria surrounding him.

"This won't end well, will it...?"

Damai shook his head at the news of their decision to decline their terms. "They chose to not climb the tree after we extended the branch twice, they brought this upon themselves."

Thomas scoffed at the hastily put together response, quite bemused with what little The Dominion had to say for themselves and their lack of reasoning.

”Our chance at peace with these arrogant fools has been squandered by them several times over. They have failed to accept a treaty which would offer them salvation but now they shall instead find their damnation, due to nothing more than their overwhelming pride and the cockroaches that have infested their council. It will be a glorious day when we cut these imbeciles down to size, down to the same pathetic and pitiful level they belong.”
