Ixli 1472 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Deceit: "The false road to happiness; and all the joys we travel through to vice, like fairy banquets, vanish when we touch them." Varen'thal looks at the notice once more, his calm features now turning sharp. The elf would crumple the paper, throwing it into a waste bin. "Apparently, even the best of us forget events not too long ago. Let us reminisce!" "Back in Axios, there was a beautiful, young elfess named Genevieve, and a crazed old mali'ata named Gwyneth. Gwyneth was not always an impure. Genevieve and myself got into a fight, about what it not matter. Genevieve slapped me, and Gwyneth, my wife at the time, came to my defense. Gwyneth and Genevieve ended up getting into a real fight, and in an attempt to protect my wife, I hit Genevieve over the head with a staff- accidentally killing her. After I saved Elsohaer's life, Cenwall Maeyr'onn, from my crazed wife and banished her, it was deemed that I truly did not mean for Genevieve to die. Of course there had to be a trial, as we are a state of such fine integrity and sought the truth. At the trial, the three judges said I was innocent, and thus concludes the story." "The malaurir, blessed be him, has just now called for my banishment for the death of Genevieve- now that we are in Atlas, years have past since the event and an official trial was held. Therefore, there is no point in my banishment and due to the fine institution we are as the Sohaerate, the Sohaerate I have formed, there is no need nor reason behind this oddly timed and foolish call." "Isn't it odd? There has already been a trial for this, and I have already followed the path of purity through the Silver College and under Arelion Laurir'ante for my crime against Genevieve, as it was still murder to a degree. There is no reason, simply none, for this to be brought up again." "If the blinded ones that are calling for my banishment still do not see the truth, then I have been left no choice." "I call for a trial."

Paleo 298 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Filanir came forth after a few long moments, a grave expression taking hostage of his face as he exchanged looks with those that gathered around and put in their several cents on the matter. As he wobbled, leaning against his birch staff, he cleared his throat and spoke up. "It's a sad day on which I must admit that such statements do indeed reveal the truth of my Brother, they reveal who he is truly and with it his impure behaviour and vision on how life should flow. Varen'thal's time has come to grab his bags and leave the silver city once and for all. But not only, has my brother's time come, the time to call the council to stand up and take responsibility for having allowed such tumorous behaviour within its vicinity has also come. I call them out, to take a look at their actions, and asking themselves why it is that such a tremorous personality has been allowed to infect the heart of the city we do all wish to protect. And I want answers to that, no matter how hard the response might be to accept." Filanir than stepped aside as he looked over the silver city, a cold stare once more returning to him as his ears perked backwards. "Varen'thal is hardly worthy of trial." He then scoffed before looking over at Vandameer
