Troubling Times

-~-

Penned and published by Wladyslaw

Circa 1655

The god-fearing men of good ilk, from all over Haense, Renatus-Marna and whichever you name live troubling times. Times in which we, sons of The Father, Horen and guided by the light of GOD must attack, slay, maim each other. Is that, perhaps, really the way we must follow for the safeguarding of our kin?

Hear me, oh beloved brothers and sisters. I am no church’s monk, but I can assure you that I am as god-fearing as any peasant living around the walls of Senntisten. I write this with a heavy heart, knowing that day after day, more young men are thrown into battle against their own, claiming GOD guides them. Awaken, blind souls! T’is not the time for war, t’is not the time to be separated! We struggle! We need to be united, by strength, land and religion. It is not time to stray from our own and throw degenerative remarks at them! Whilst we bolster wars and skirmishes, there are devious, filthy heretics falsifying the High Pontiff’s name, document and legitimacy.

Whilst we turn a blind eye to the struggle our kin is living, we may never, ever, be reunited again. I beg of you, good men and women, rather, I urge we take action and make amend to the mistakes we’ve commited. T’is sinful, frowned upon to fight amidst your own kin, your own beloved sisters, brothers.

I reaffirm that I am not one of churches. I but wonder, preaching the words of our Lord, in His perfect creation in which we live. But t’is time to end petty conflicts and skirmishes. Widows cry as their husbands die in combat, and children woe for their mothers, whom cannot live without their loving husband.

It is time we once more come together, as a people, undivided, unconquered under the arms of GOD, and if such happens, I cannot believe there is a way we can become stronger. These troubling times hath to teach us how to make better, how to not repeat these same sinful mistakes.

I finish this with but a small prayer to my brothers who go and fight, asking for their well-being and safety.

Ut laudabant Deum, utiname Pontifex habeat vitam longam,

Wladyslaw Strzanovicz.

"Peace breeds weakness, war births the strong." states Szoros as he flays a strung pig.

"Im not so sure how a small stamp alteration could be so noticeable by ordinary citizens, the Pontiff hasn't even responded on it yet...Someone has made a mistake" Jhazeem would peer across the table, tapping his chin in curiousity

((Was meant as an exclusive comment, stating this in his room alone not towards anyone))

"What got me, Jhazeem, wasn't the altered stamp, but the fact that the Ascended were included in the list, when I know that the Ascended are friends of the Canonist Church, especially when it comes to matters regarding the undead. Opal Fritz and Elvira are well liked by the High Pontiff and some of the other members of the church." Auralia commented, rather annoyed that one of her friends would do something so vile as to impersonate the High Pontiff in forged documents.

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
