Opening Statements

 

Captain Wullffrey Ruryksson:

Well, truth be said, citizens of Markev, I have been here for a while, and have spent time amongst all of you from my lowest state, young age, and allowed myself to grow amongst you and see the [town] grow. My smithy has been a support to the kingdom, so I have decided to take part more and show myself as more helpful even further.

 

Ser Hans:

So nice, thank you very much. That’s really nice. Thank you. It’s great to be at Red Square. It’s great to be in a wonderful city, Markev. And it’s an honor to have everybody here. This is beyond anybody’s expectations. There’s been no crowd like this.

And I can tell, some of the candidates, they want in. They didn’t know the air-conditioner didn’t work. They sweated like dogs.

 

They don’t know the room was too bite because they didn’t have anybody there. How are they going to beat Renatus? I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

 

Our country is in serious trouble. We don’t have victories anymore. We used to have victories, but we don’t have them. [Redacted]

 

[Redacted] It’s coming from all over Atlas, and it’s coming probably-probably from the Krugmar. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence. We don’t know what’s happening and it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast.

 

[Redacted] They send their goods over by the millions, and what do we do? When was the last time you saw a Hanseti sword in Markev? It doesn’t exists folks. They beat us all the time.

 

When do we beat Renatus at the border? They’re laughing at us, our stupidity. And now they are beating us militarily. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us.

 

Brother Jack Amador:

Good afternoon people of Markev. I am Brother Jack, some of you may know me as Clement the Third, the previous High Pontiff. I will keep this brief, unlike my counterpart, however I wish to say this: My entire life was dedicated to God and to community service. To help the poor, those in need. I have dealt with administrative issues from organization to economic, to social issues from the smallfolk and to the nobility. This is all I will say on that.

Safety- What are your policies in regards to promoting safety within and around Markev?

 

Captain Wulffrey Ruryksson:

We all know the situation with Renatus. We all be a part of it. We all know also about Vaeyl order, and plenty of crimes committed around. That be obvious as it could be.

 

But keep in mind, me as well as the entire army have already did so much to improve further on what we had. Just in recent year, I have taken care of two undead wandering around Markev streets before they threatened anyone.

 

I have personally from me smithy contributed to resources, and I have to plan to expand further on that, to ensure we always have our men ready to fight, with fresh gear.

 

Nei to mention donations to church, I have done, and I plan on doing from the money that I have gained myself. To expand trainings for common denizens and allow them to feel safe whilst Royal Army stands as their shield.

 

So I can nei promise you everything, but as much as my sole word, that I will nei stop to what I have already done, and expand further to make Haense a Kingdom good for those who seek promised land of safety.

We must ensure every citizen is armed and knows how to use their weapons.

 

It was the wish of our late Maer, whom I was bailiff to, that we establish a citizens constabulary to be made up of non-military volunteers.

 

They will man walls and stop illegal immigrants, as well as keeping us safe.

 

This way we can keep Haense jobs in Haense hands.

Brother Jack Amador:

Security is always an issue, and one that will continue to be an issue in the far future. War plagued the world as the greed of Man and the corruption of Iblees wars at the world. However, the people of Haense are strong and enduring. From wars of the past to this very day you have stood defiant. What I can do is merely help guide and to shield our warriors. We are the true defenders of the Realm.

 

By giving them the proper resources, the training and means to carry on, we can overcome everything that washes against us, as we have done before time and time again. Thank you.

Economy- How will you accept and organize new shops and resources coming into the city?

 

Captain Wulffrey Ruryksson:

I be responsible also for creatin plenty of new jobs. Me guild be soon becomin official, allowing those who have interest in plenty of different types of craft to learn, gain knowledge, and soon money for what they need.

 

Ser Hans:

We need to focus on local business first.

Sure we can sell the same mass produced CRAP that [redacted] sells, or we can focus on high quality goods like at the new Bole establishment.

 

We need to make sure we have the best stuff first, so everyone sees it, and then we can sell them stuff so they can try and be like us, but they’ll never be as good as us.

 

It’s time to Make Haense Great Again. [Redacted]

 

Kids need to be fed, so we need good wages for workers, FAIR wages.

Under my administration, we shall take inventory of the resources we can produce to work out trade deals in our favor to bring coin back through the gates to make Markev the trade city of the South. For much needed products such as weapons or consumer product, I saw we introduce subsidies to these industries. To give local business and workshops the means to make themselves a livings we shall introduce the means to limit the import of cheap goods that undermine us, not in the way that harms ourselves.

 

Trade is the life force of cities and we shall nurture that. The workers are the lifeblood of the economy, and we shall take care of them. Thank you.
