The Norlandic National Anthem

On the 17th of the Amber Cold, 1659

His Royal Majesty, Godden Ruric, issues a new anthem for the Kingdom of Norland, as the folk of Norland believe that it has been far too long without having an anthem to represent them. On this day Norland shall finally have what it has wished for: a song that many can sing with pride.

 

“We’ll Save Norland” was written and sung by Rodrigo, one of the current candidates in running for becoming Mayor of Ruriksgrad.

Rodrigo stated that this song was meant to represent Norlandic pride, and our constant drive to remove the tyrants from the face of the earth.

 

Lyrics:

We’ll save Norland said the heroes,

We’ll save Norland said them all,

Whether in our towers high,

Or the battlefield we cry,

Oh us bannermen of Norland we fight for!

 

Close beside the old ash tree,

Stood the noble hearted three,

Our commanders willing to face certain doom,

But they’ll meet it face-to-face,

With the courage of their race,

For thy wish once more to see Norland in bloom!

 

We’ll save Norland said the heroes,

We’ll save Norland said they all,

Whether in our towers high,

Or the battlefield we cry,

Oh us bannermen of Norland we fight for!

 

Marched we straight across the land,

With our weapons close at hand,

With the dice of death just waiting to be cast,

Fighting here for all to see,

True to Home and Faith and Freedom to the Last!

Lily Selothan looks at the half ate, burned beyond recognition body of Antonius, which had remained in Norland after he'd been beheaded. "Strange.....very strange..." The morghuul would mutter.
