She held the royal letter in her hands, truding her feet inside, she was greeted with the familiar sights, sounds, and smells of The Dominion of Malin. She had not been inside the area for nearly six years, since her banishment. It was very late, the twilight long gone replaced by the midnight hour. She yawned, not even her third cup of coffee had helped. A finely dressed figure approached her,

 

“You’re Carsandra Ivydale, correct?” The Mali was handsome, dressed in ordinate armor and a flowing cape. His face was young, brimming with a smile.

 

“Yes, I am.” she responded simply, handing him the royal letter. He gestured for her to follow him, and she followed him to the courthouse. It was empty, only a guard stood by the entrance, looking bored. The Mali made his way up to the judging alter, he stood, clearing his throat. She got out a stack of papers.

 

“So, Carsandra Ivydale, do you know why you were banned?”

 

“Magical Act, Subsection Five, reckless or unneeded use of magic. Or so I was told.”

 

The Mali gave a slow nod, “And how do you plead to these charges?”

 

“Not guilty.”

 

“And why’s that?”

 

“That would require a recount of the story leading to my ban, may I tell it?”

 

“Go on.”

 

She turned a page, taking out tax slips and a house document. “Around a few years ago, I was working in the Clinic and living in the Dark Elven district. I was just transferred to Nurse under the new owner, when two spooks, Ghosts, came into The Dominion’s tavern. A Cleric went to do deal with it, while a child was taken by the Ghosts up to the awning. Evar climbed up to the awning, and by this time a sizable crowd had gathered. I along with others were waiting below to try to get the child, when Evar had gotten the child, and the Cleric had dealt with the Ghosts.” She took a breath, continuing, “That’s when I was pulled aside by another Mali, a Virriam. He asked me about my tendrils, and when I explained truthfully, he demanded that I turned around, and he tried to sever the tendrils. He failed, then told me I was banished. Mel, a witness, lead me to the gates.”

 

“And what are those?” The Mali asked.

 

“The tendrils are from Yeu Rhultu, they signify a constant connection to Her. They cannot do anything or hurt anybody.”

 

“Is that the thing Aiden was?” He mused, looking to the guard.

 

“Yes Sir.” The guard answered, "Yeu Rhultu is neutral."

 

“Well then, I hereby unbanish you. No court fees will be appiled, court adjourned.” He stood, making his way to the floor. She gathered her papers, a big smile on her face. She left the courthouse, tried but awake. Her feet carried her to The Grove, down the spiraling log to her favorite hideout and sleeping place. She rested her head against the leaves of the log, giving a big yawn. She looked up at the cave roof, a smile resting on her face as she closed her eyes.

 

She was home, were she belonged.

Millions of elves that stormed out during Carsandra's banishment all make their way back towards the Elvenese Captial. All hope is restored within the realm, the great migration has ended

Carsandra wonders why their was even such in the first place, as the The Dominion is pretty active, with around twenty to thirty elves at a given day, and even more during events. She shrugs, unbothered.
