9th of the Grand Harvest, 1672.

Cyrene watched as visitors and citizens filed into the room, her eyes moving from face to face in silence. She straightened her spine, fixing her once slouched and sloppy position on the right chair. However, she was nervous. Not because she was to give a speech in front of a large crowd, but because there were too many windows and an open gate. Surely we'll be attacked, she thought, it's only a matter of time, and we may not have the forces to combat whoever attacks. Not now, at least...

Not now.

Cyrene stood, turning to face Alem'shun as he presented her the crown. She stared down at it, before allowing him to place it upon her head. Then, she turned towards the crowd and spoke.

"I stand here today speaking to you all because I want to watch Sutica progress, grow, and start anew for years to come. I want to see it advance and continue to live like it once did. This city, alongside it’s citizens, has a special place in my heart, a place that I will forever cherish and remember. Sutica has a thousand memories and stories to tell, even if it’s just some old, failed city in the eyes of some… This city has potential, and I’m determined to make that possible. I want to grant you, citizens of Sutica, a chance for freedom, happiness, and safety within our walls under my leadership!”

For the graves of the fallen, for the heroes of the past who have given their lives for Sutica’s well being, for those who fight for the safety and success of this city, I will do everything I can to carry out their goal whether by blade or by word, as both your Trade Princess and Guard Captain. Follow me and help us all carry out this goal, to create a better place for all, no matter the religion, race, practice of magic, or who you want to love.
Once a quiet, dismal, abandoned city now turned into something greater with love and life. Even after my time as Trade Princess, I wish to see it continue to grow and live for years to come so that this dream of ours can come true as one unified city. Together, we will create something beautiful for all, something that the leaders of the past sought to reach. I am determined, willing, and ready to serve as Sutica’s new Trade Princess until I die!"

With that, she ended, the crowd before her cheering and clapping. She'd taken Alem'shun's previous spot at the center throne, resting her hands in her lap as she looked up towards the crowd once more.

A lonesome, hooded man stood still, peering toward the large gates from a distance. "YoU wiLl nOt. . .RuLe fOr LonG, wRetCheD moRtaL. . ."  it said with a scowl before departing...for now.

Laethesia, unlike the other edgies, cheers and applauds proudly for her beloved friend! "Cyrene, I'm so proud of you!" She practically shrieked at the coronation, mightily excited.

Elvira would have stood vigilantly during the coronation, the Ascended keeping a close eye out. While she was there to witness the scene, she was also there to ensure no dark forces decided to wander in and cause trouble. The woman was never asked specifically to attend so they had a holy user on standby, and she held the choice to not even attend at all - but she did anyway. She certainly applauded the new Trade Princess in clear appreciation and she'd rather not see the day ruined.
