Scarcity of Bloodline Braduks

Bloodline Braduks can no longer be created randomly. Like if little Bobby over here wanted to play as a Bloodline Braduk, without it being a returning Orc, or child of a Bloodline Braduk, it cannot be played. Now, you must be the child of a Bloodline Braduk, or it must be a returning character. The reason this is being made is to actually RP the rarity of a Bloodline Braduk. Right now, anyone (who has the permission of The1Bow) can make a Bloodline Braduk. Even though they are supposed to be rare. Also, to classify as a returning character, someone must vouch for you. I know it seems kind of stupid for that, but it’s to make sure no random Bloodline Braduks are made. The current list of Bloodline Braduks is….

Kahn’Braduk (The1Bow) PK’ed

Gilgamesh’Braduk (the1bow)

Vruk’Braduk (Slothtastic85/Slothman85)

Jolagh’Braduk (Z3m0s)

Kotturik’Braduk (1_Language_1) Dead

Orgoth’Izig (SoulStrung)

Gutstringa’Raguk (Slothtastic85/Puddle__ Son of Vruk’Braduk)

Forkad (Boomzerang)

Bahk’Braduk (echtesLeder)

Madak’Braduk (1_Arigato_1/1_Language_1)

Turob’Braduk (SaltyStormJakob) PK’d

Balrik’Braduk (zorozeenee)

List will be updated upon request.

Also yeah this is just meant to be a short and sweet post. Comment down if you have a Bloodline Braduk, and find someone old enough to vouch for you. Oh yeah, and 1Bow is ok with this just sayin’. Ok final thing, I’m on Mobile so I’ll format the post when possible.

The LT has seen many problems crop up around the Braduk Bloodlines, as they are something that many people like to use as a tool to min-max their character, and it has been decided that the Braduks will be treated like any noble seed/family or clan. You must have legitimate permission from a Braduk player to play their child if you wish to have the benefits of being a Braduk on your character. Such benefits include being a maximum 8'6 (6 inches taller than the tallest standard uruk) as a result of Braduks having old ties to Olog heritage. If you are found to be playing an illegitimate Braduk character then a Braduk player may ask you to return your character back to the state of a normal uruk and refusal to do so may result in disciplinary action from the LT or GMs.

Considering I've written virtually all of the Braduk lore I feel I should probably weigh in and clarify a few things. Before I do though also allow me to make clear there has never been a time where players were able to simply claim being apart of the Braduk bloodlines. You literally have always had to clear it with me first so that I may find you appropriate family descent. Just because you are or were apart of the Braduk clan does not mean you are a bloodline Braduk. Being a bloodline Braduk means you are descended from Braduk and Kudo. Anyone not on the list currently are not bloodline Braduks because only the people on the list cleared it with me, and I know there are several people still claiming to be so yeah nah nah yeah.

Onto the issue of physiology, I think people have forgotten all the drawbacks and the actual specifics and just seen "height" and rolled with it. For reference I've made a very ordinary rough depiction of the Orc subraces (no, bloodline Braduks are not a fourth subrace they are a variant of Uruk, this is just so people have a visual representation).

So let me explain - as you can see the bloodline Braduk is much more akin to a 40k Ork as opposed to something like a Warcraft Orc. This is because since way back when in the lore Braduks have Olog blood which is the reason for their height but have since remained bred as Uruks, their bodies have had to compensate for their height. To try to put it as simply as possible, but still probably incredibly convoluted, the Olog blood increased their height but they still fundamentally have Uruk genes and since Uruks cannot naturally grow to be as tall as they were they were forced to evolve to compensate. So the actual physiology of a bloodline Braduk is different to that of a normal Uruk. Their knees bend, they slouch and have a significant hunch to deal with the added weight since their body is still essentially Uruk. However due to the Olog blood they comparatively have larger features than normal Uruks, which is why the scales used in the reference image is actually somewhat correct and not just a result of me showing height differences - bloodline Braduks have far larger heads and hands etc.

The downsides of all this are, for one, Braduks are not nimble. Like, at all. RPing a fast bloodline Braduk is power gaming. Also with respect to more character specific traits, as a result of having the Olog descent, Braduks do not necessarily have decreased intelligence but they are far far far more impulsive and hot headed because they still possess that element of "Mi wantz, mi wantz now, mi getz" that Ologs have. Furthermore their bodies degrade far quicker than that of a regular Uruk due to a lifetime of supporting such immense weight. If you get as old as Kahn is for example, he is no longer able to get in and out of his own armour by himself, nor is he able to even stand up from a seat by himself. Keep this in mind.
