Pancakehz 2279 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Umm Daquan Daemyr was a Farfolk of the Kadarsi. He joined the Reivers because he has no remaining family and was adopted by Lonan. The name Daquan was chosen because I like the name with the character, isnt that why we all pick names? If you have the freedom to pick your name, why the **** would you pick something you dislike? garentoft 9265 Share Posted September 26, 2018 While it may be an unpopular opinion, I'm personally in favour of a more laissez-faire approach to OOC regulations of RP on this server. LoTC thrives on dynamic roleplay, and if you put too many restrictions on everything, dynamic roleplay starts dying (and it sure is already going that way). I think these raid rules are a step in the right direction, but personally wish it would go further in encouraging dynamic RP.
Monkee 7369 Share Posted September 27, 2018 >slandering the reivers despite not knowing anything about our char's or their development, despite being banned for most of our time as reivers, and even after having rped with us just once, in a diplomatic scenario with tons of rp backing lol what as this shows, you jump to conclusions very quickly, and that much is evident in your arbitration as a gm. thats not too cool man
Jasonhz 58 Share Posted October 6, 2018 Why do we even have a separate rule set, one that is this large, for raiding? i mean, it’s just a larger group of people doing villain rp, just like bandits on the roads, who are just smaller groups of people doing villain rp. i mean, 10+ = pvp, lockpick to get through doors, etc etc, why not? If you don’t have activity and can’t defend, your fault I guess? We’ve just defended from raiders. We had around five minutes to rally. Basically, what I’m suggesting is, consider raiding like normal villainy rp that needs a GM to oversee it and sometimes people can bring sieges weapons. (this might be a really **** idea but I don’t know because it’s late)

Raiding should be fun content for as broad an audience as possible which is why I'd like to see it become more accessible to a wider population. I don’t think people have raided that much in the past month. According to the gm log thing, i think only 3 raid mod reqs were handled last month. dont restrain raiding for pvp then, that’s a **** idea. Only pvp if it’s 10+ participants. Leave the RPers the right to not fight, but if Th pvpers of the city loose, the numbers on both sides will hopefully drop, and then they can rp fight or something idk i can’t formulate thoughts

As for the low amount of raids. I've heard complaints that raiding is unfun and that it is far too likely for one to get banned from a plurality of old pvpers. But... are they good and innocent people that get banned unfairly and without reason or they get banned for breaking basic rules and having a terrible behaviour? No matter how you change the rules, people will continue breaking them. Old players are the ones that stop this server from stepping towards the future. Nah its decent players that are good rpers who don't raid anymore because of how painful raiding became for a while. But I 100% agree that trolls people that are oocly toxic etc who raid with the intent of making someone else's experience miserable should receive the hammer.
