Archbishop 1784 Share Posted November 20, 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmMaZXAahCs Today was a busy day in Adria, the townsfolk rushing about their daily chores. The sound of blacksmiths, drinks clanging in the tavern and the voices of people chattering filled the ambience of the duchy. Truly a cozy place indeed, all looked forward to the town meeting that had been announced by the Duke Ratibor. Eventually the bells tolled in the town halls spire, calling all citizens to the meeting. It did not take long for the tavern to fill with Adria’s populace, and such the meeting began. Each person took turns in announcing what they had to their fellow citizens before moving onto the Dukes announcement. After the meeting was concluded, Ratibor lead his people to the church in which a sermon was given by Humpfrey. A sermon of unity through times of strife. The next day Humpfrey rang the bell at the townhall, and like before, the populace quickly gathered. “My friends, I wish to clarify and make suggestions regarding the storm I spoke of at yesterday's meeting.” “A dangerous and continuous blizzard approaches our fair duchy from the south, originating from the Yatl wastelands. Our duchy will soon be enveloped by this unending storm, but my children together we can persevere! We must stand united as one people, I beg you put aside your squabbles and hatreds for one another and work together. We must prepare our duchy for when we are hit. If you have any troubles, come to myself, Darius, Bruce, Arty or The Duke. I advise all citizens to begin stockpiling wools and blankets to keep yourself warm in the bitter nights. If you lack somewhere to live or the funds to acquire a home, I will be sheltering people inside the church. You should also begin to board up your windows in order to keep the heat inside your home, ensure you fireplace has enough firewood. When the storm hits, Arty will be serving hot soup for you all. I have took the liberty to begin stockpiling wheat and an assortment of salted meats inside the old granary, these supplies are so we do not fall into famine during this storm. I urge you all to remain calm, this storm will bring about a difficult time for Adria and our people but know that we can pull through, together. Go now my children, prepare our duchy to ride out the storm conjured by our enemies. Spread the word to your friends and our neighbors. I implore my fellow clergymen to lead their diocese under Godani’s light during this perilous time.” “Godani will be watching over us.”

Chase 3793 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Conan Vallberg af Morr looked down from the Vallberg keep in Vrakai. Lifting a mug of tea to his lips as he took a sip. The lad looked to the tavern as the storms from afar grew ever closer. His thoughts wandered idly, as he drank the tea. "Hope this doesn't last.." The fella murmured to himself. camocat9 1024 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Cameron Halmar simply shrugs. “If Belvitz made it through the last blizard, it can make it through this one.” He says, but decides that it is best to take the trip to Holm to stock up woolen blankets and food. Hook 79 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Upon entering the sleepy Belvitz tavern, a nervous wizard draped in shades of red noticed that for the first time in some weeks, the normally thriving establishment was void of other citizens. As he neared his favourite spot by the hearth, and double-checking that he was indeed alone, Ripplewick evoked some embers in the fireplace which rejuvenated the waning flames. Sitting in his favourite seat and rubbing his hands together, he pondered over how he might help in the coming weeks, and how this approaching blizzard might impact his commute between his Markev home and elsewhere. But, soon, the bartender emerged, and subsequently Ripplewick’s pondering was brought to an end as he found himself ordering a nice, hot, baked potato.
