THE 1698 PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

       As the second, very divisive term of the Imperial Parliament comes to an end, it’s come time to select Prefects to represent the commoners in the Imperial legislature. Many voters are upset that, among all the bills proposed, the divided Parliament couldn’t agree to pass anything. Not one bill made it to His Imperial Majesty’s desk, leading many disgruntled constituents to register to vote, in order to end the partisan deadlock.

 

 

       Included to this parchment is a map of all the Prefectures in which candidates are eligible to run for office. As residents of Belvitz, Markev, or Carolustadt, should you meet the mandatory requirements and want to debate legislation on behalf of the entire Empire, you are eligible to do so. In addition, eligible voters are encouraged to participate in Parliamentary elections, as is their civic duty. Voter and candidate registration forums are included below.

CANDIDATE REGISTRATION

       Below is a list of requirements in order to run for office, in accordance to Article V, Section III, Subsection II of the Statute of Carolustadt. Candidates may file with any political party of their choosing, either listed above or otherwise, or they may file as independent.

 

• Be a resident of either Belvitz, Markev, or Carolustadt for at least four Saint’s weeks
• Be a full blooded human
• Own land within your Prefecture, such as a house
• Be in good legal standing
• Be of either yeoman, gentry, or burgher status, or be within the immediate family of such
• Be registered to vote
• Be at least 25 years of age
• Be able to read and write proficiently
• Be of the Canonist faith or a denomination of such

VOTER REGISTRATION

       Below is a list of requirements in order to register to vote, in accordance to Article V, Section III, Subsection I of the Statute of Carolustadt;

After registering to vote, you’ll need to visit the Imperial Election Commission’s office in Carolustadt, located at 6 Godfrey Sq., in order to retrieve your voter registration card. You will need this card to vote on election day. ((Message Papa_Liam or xboxersz for more information))
