Reckless Banzai Screamer 15456 Share Posted May 28, 2019 17th of Harren’s Folly, 1717 “To the darkness I bring fire. To the ignorant I bring faith. Those who welcome these gifts may live, but I will visit naught but death and eternal damnation on those who refuse them!” What began as an ordinary day on the front, this strange day in Harren’s Folley, turned into something truly strange. In the dawn, the men of Owyn patrolled the roads of Humanity looking for conflict and mayhem. Twas standard, after all, to halt and eliminate individuals deemed an enemy to their cause. Such is the reason brave Henry Marshal, Aeldenic Knight, halted two suspicious elven women at the doorsteps of Norland. Following a search, it was discovered that the two elves were acting as fund mules for the Renatian war effort. With haste, and with the aid of the Forgotten Knight Hans Rovin and his nephew Shaw, both scantily clad females were detained. Upon interrogation, the funds were seized and ordered to be redistributed amongst the Orenian populace - after all, twas only fair that they be compensated for so much loss. The females were released, and the money safely transported to Orenian coffers. Hours passed and, as the men of Owyn prepared their bunks for a humble night’s slumber, Robert Rovin, the second of his name, whom was stationed on firewatch was surrounded by those that his men had set free - this time, however, with Norlandic blades at their side. A swarm of pitchfork wielding peasants, led by a Norlandic bannerman, surrounded the Owynist ‘Boar Fort’ on this cold night - the fiends spitting upon GOD and his faithful. Demanding the coin’s return, the Norlandic peasant militia spouted heresy in pure ignorance for they had assumed the Owynists to be so uneducated to not have already deposited it within their bank vaults. And so, a standoff ensued. The swarm, with their small minds and even smaller groins, began to proclaim that they would take it up with the Pontiff! How strange, that they would think that men of Owyn would be so easily deceived by those who worship the color red. The plan of the Owynists was simple - to test the ugly fort which they had erected. Robert held up his warhammer as he looked to the gathered assembly and shouted “Face me, cretin, I shall fight thee one on one in righteous combat, should you dare!” A Caunter, the same one which the Owynists had slain but a Saint’s Day earlier, cowered in fear and rejected the duel like the rat - the true sigil of Norland. Mayhaps he would had more courage had he rallied his brothers in arms rather than the partisans! The Norlandic RAT! Fearing the might of the men with Pig’s helmets, the partisans shouted “C-cowards!” and fled to their city, assuming that the men of Owyn would spare them out of pity. And with that, the Owynists charged out at the mob, trailing them to their poorly constructed town covered in horse-****. The men of Owyn scaled the walls, and those who fled within its confines looked up in terror as the righteous fiery blades of Owyn struck them down. None were spared from Owyn’s fire, nor from those who served the Lord of Laughter. Not a faithful man was harmed that night. Honk.
Shaw 24 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Shaw would chuckle thinking of how he helped capture and slaughter them. He’d repeat what he said after slaughtering the retreating rats. “Welcome To Norland hahahahaha.”
