PACT OF INDEPENDENCE

8th of Owyns Flame, 1741

 

This pact hereby entails the principles to an accord agreed upon by the Kingdom of Curonia, Duchy of Morsgrad, Principality of Rubern and Archduchy of Suffonia (each a “Signatory” and together “Signatories”), to be adhered to by their respective civilians and military alike. Should either principle be broken by a respective participant of either Signatory, then a truce will be inherently invoked, ergo allowing a maximum of three saints days wherein efforts to re-evaluate the accord, and, or, deem the accord no longer viable.

I. Henceforth, the Signatories will adhere to a strict non-aggression agreement that will be enforced.

 

II.  Mobility between the Signatories will be enforced by all Signatories, and the roads will be swept of bandits who may harass our fair people.

 

III. The Signatories will aid one another in obtaining fugitives and criminals to their respective civilisation, unless one has a pact with said respective Signatory from which the fugitive hails from.

 

IV. The Signatories will aid one another in the defence of the respective Signatory’s holdings provided they are aggressed upon.

 

V. The independence of each Signatory is guaranteed by the other Signatories. All Signatories shall exercise their full martial capacity pursuant to the independence of all Signatories.

a) With this kept in mind, a war against The Holy Orenian Empire will be in effect, ceasing when the independence of Curonia & Suffonia has thereby been recognised by the Holy Orenian Empire, presuming the on-going war alongside the AIS is coming to its end by this point.

 

VI. All Signatories do hereby agree to assist the A.I.S. in to their on-going war against The Holy Orenian Empire.

 

VII. The sovereignty of each Signatory is guaranteed, each Signatory’s sovereign demesne is recognized as follows.

a) Morsgrad under Godric is recognized as the Northern Peninsula beyond the neck and its surrounding Islands.

b) Rubern under Vladrick Hieromar I is recognized the lands of the Ruber River between Helena and Haense.

c) Curon under Angelo de Alba is recognised as the lands of Curonia

d) Suffonia under Archduke Edward is recognized as the lands of the Suffolk Wood ((tile 58)).

 

VIII. Successor states of the Signatories will be obligated to execute this agreement as if they signed it themselves and inherit all rights of their processador state under this agreement.
