To your grace Godric of Morsgrad:

As you well know, the Crown of Curonia is hosting a memorial ceremony to honor the name of Ester Rose Devereux in the Curonian Capital of Avalain, in two Saint’s Days. We would like to honor properly one of the greatest women that have existed in our era. For that reason, I ask you to please give us the head of the poor Ester, as you have only sent us her headless body. You claimed that you gave us her body for proper rites but you decapitated her and left her headless corpse with us. We require it to give her a proper Curonian burial and let her rest forever in the seven skies and in the memory of our hearts.

IN NOMINE DEI

His Grace, Tobias Merentel, Royal Solicitor of the Kingdom of Curonia

Wilhelm broods silently in his hall, taking a brief moment of respite from the burden of leadership. The young man's thoughts turn black as he considers the fate of his cousin. If they would show such disrespect to a woman they claimed had virture, what barbarities would they inflict upon those to whom they gave no thought?

He recalls the stories he had read as a child of the other races, now allies with the barbarous hordes. Stories of magical elves, filled with dignity and pride. Stories of savage and bloodthirsty orcs, yet filled with their own kind of noble honor. Stories that said, in the end, there was some goodness in all.

It was at the young age of 16 that Wilhelm, thrust into the role of leadership, learned that the world was a much darker, and savage place then he believed. He steeled his resolve.

"This is why we fight".

A copy of the public missive is returned to Curon, a small note is attached “Please place another woman on the throne after this child is also executed. The Devereux men have the unfortunate curse of being vastly weaker and more incompetent than the women. As for the head, you are welcome to purchase it from the Vilac. You have two more days.”

Augustus begins pondering a price for his new friend, writing a missive down. "It would seem some of us are at an impasse here, good Curonians! Not I, of course, but, your people and Suffonia. They would very much like this head, as well. I think the only equitable way to solve this is through a delightful auction. Bidding will begin at ten thousand mina, friends!" Augustus signs his name at the bottom, sending a similar missive to the Suffonians. @Sheczar @Arcean "Bidding will end in one saint's day of this missive being sent," is penned below his signature.
