I greet you, men and women of Haense!

I am hereby announcing my candidacy for the tribune election of His Majesty’s Royal Duma. The position of tribune has recently been introduced in a Duma proposal by Lord Osvald Barclay, the position is meant to give the common people of Haense a seat on the Duma with nobility banned from running. I would like to personally thank Lord Barclay and all those who voted for working to bring more representation to the people!

My agenda

I will be working my hardest to improve the conditions of the commoners of Haense. There are multiple things I will be fighting for in order to achieve this:

Taxes

Ladies and gentlemen, we live in a society… And in this society the poorest are taxed the highest. Just last year the taxes for owning a home inside the city of Reza were once again raised! The government is paying for an endless war with money of the common man. At least, that’s what they tell you. Despite raising the taxes, the royals organize extravagant events where minas are spent by the thousands. How can they justify raising the taxes for a war when so much is wasted on hollow pleasure? Lowering the taxes for owning a home in Reza is one of my top priorities!

Salaries

I will be fighting for acceptable salaries and legislation that ensures payment for all those who work for His Majesty’s Government. Whether it would be government officials, doctors and nurses or those putting their own lives on the line to protect our great nation as soldier in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. We will no longer be paid at the whims of those leading us!

Education

Every Maer promises education, only a few deliver. I will be proposing legislation that will ensure education that no longer relies on the Maers and their failure to provide said education when all the sweet talking is over with. I want to see a Haense where no man or woman can’t read and is therefore unable to vote! Lack of proper education is just another tool to oppress the commoner.

In conclusion

I can assure the voters that I am the right choice for the role of tribune. I grew up in the streets, I have seen the struggles of the common man in Haense from a first person perspective. I have not heard or read about it, I have experienced it. Low salaries, high taxes, no education. The commoners of Haense do not have it easy in today’s Haense…

BUT THIS WILL CHANGE!

Signed,

Wilhelm

Ser Osvald would look towards Wilhelm in the Brotherhood common room, offering him a mug of Carrion Black. "Given your demographic background, I'd firmly support your campaign for Tribune. You are both representative of the common man who endured many hardships since the start of the war, and the Brotherhood, who has been going through a different branch of troubles. You are also adequate in your policy, and I would like to see your success in the Tribunal debate!"

Otto Sigismund reads through the pamphlet brought to him for his daily studies, eyes narrowing as he glosses over a certain part. He comments to his tutor, “Why does this man lay false claims against my name and family? No one in Haense can claim that my family does not care for their subjects! I won’t have any of it!” The boy exclaims, clearly upset by this affair.
