“For a better and brighter Haense”

 

Foreword

I was not particularly keen on writing out a lengthy campaign for this election due to its unnerving circumstances, however, due to recent campaign additions set in place by my opponent, Stefen Vyronov, I feel the need to respond. Just as I began my previous statement, I would like to offer my complete condolences to Lady Aleksandra Stafyr and Father Harald Vuiller. May the Seven Skies welcome them both with open arms.

 

Introduction

Prevja. My name is Angelika Eleanora Vanir. I have studied the art of politics for the better part of my life and I have much experience in the subject. As a young child, my papej, the Lord Speaker of the Duma always stressed the importance of learning about politics and I learned very much from him. At the age of eleven, I began to ward under Her Majesty, Maya Valeriya Barbanov. During my wardship, I focused very much on the study of politics. At the age of fourteen, I was appointed by Her Majesty to be the Royal Event Administrator, a position in which I still hold to this day. Throughout my time as Royal Event Administrator, I have learned very much about event planning, an important skill required for a successful Maer. I also serve as an alternate representative for the House of Vanir in the Duma, providing me with much experience and knowledge on the Duma. Currently, I have been spending much of my time working as Senator Terrence May’s Chief of Staff. This position has provided me with much experience and knowledge in the Senate along with communications. My experiences alone set me apart from my adversary, Stefen Vyronov, although my passion and dedication set me apart as well. I am a very hardworking individual who will stop at nothing to serve The Kingdom of Haense and its people.

Stances on Topics

Economy: The economy of Haense is pivotal and must be regarded with utmost importance. Haense must remain detached from the capital city of Helena in regards to its economics to ensure that smaller and local businesses cannot be overrun by the larger industrial businesses seen in Helena.

 

Military: The Brotherhood of Saint Karl is one of the driving forces behind the success of the Kingdom of Haense. For this reason, we must repay our loyal soldiers for their work by providing them with suitable living conditions. The current barracks do not fit this description. This is why I plan to either renovate or completely rebuild the current barracks to provide the Brotherhood men with the home they deserve.

 

Religion: As a devout Canonist, I plan to install these beliefs into my work as Maer. We must counter the recent pushback against the Church by the Imperials and stay loyal to GOD so that we may all one day enter into the Seven Skies.

 

Education: Education is one of my utmost values, and as Maer, I will work to ensure that every child in Haense is taught the vital skills of how to read and write. I will achieve this by funding and teaching at the Royal Academy, a public academy that is currently being instituted by the Queen-mother.

Events

Barovifest: Following His Majesty, King Otto Sigismund Barbanov’s coronation, a Barovifest will be held in Haense. As Maer, I will fund this event with my own minas.

 

Balls: As Maer of Haense, I plan to throw balls in order to boost morale within the Kingdom of Haense. Currently, I am working with Her Highness, Princess Tatiana, the Grand Lady of Haense, and Her Excellency, Lady Juliya Vanir, the Chamberlain of Haense, in planning a victory masquerade ball.

 

Combat Tournaments: As Haense is a very military-focused kingdom, hosting tournaments that display our men’s combat skills are pivotal for success and unity within  the kingdom. For this reason, I plan to host regular melee tournaments. These tournaments will range from unarmed to armed combat.

 

Feasts: As Maer, I plan to hold feasts in various locations rather than just the palace. This will give many the chance to visit noble fiefs that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to visit.

 

Fundraising: As Maer, I will host a variety of fundraising events in order to raise money to help provide food and clothing to the unfortunate. These events will include raffles and auctions.

 

Game Nights in the Tavern: Tavern games have always proved to be very enjoyable. As Maer, I will host a variety of tavern games and will provide drinks out of my own pocket.

 

Jousts: I have found the recent jousting tournaments to be very enjoyable among many. As Maer, I will host bi-yearly jousting tournaments.

Additional Information

Stables: As a horse owner myself, I have found a lack of a suitable location to keep my horse, and I’m sure that many others feel the same way. For this reason, I plan to build a public stable just outside of the kingdom and by the jousting field. Stealing, harming, or murdering of any horse within the stables will be appended to the Codex of Laws and will be deemed as a crime.

 

Suggestion Box: As Maer, I plan to implement a suggestion box just outside of the Maer’s office, in order to receive feedback and ideas from the citizens of Haense.

Aye, I do have a lack of experience though I am being guided by those who do. You say that you have great experience around the Senate area by taking notes yet you copied the same formatted work I done for my Maer Campaign post. Find it odd how recently you’ve began talking about the Barovifest along with Religion just now. I for one have been talking about this since the start of my campaign.
